For many millions of children, the right to free education is but a promise. Primary education might be free in many places, but secondary education is prohibitively expensive. And access to pre-school is reserved for those who can pay.
It's time for states to change this.
Education is a fundamental human right. But millions of children are deprived of this right due to cost.
At the @UN_HRC, governments are considering a treaty to make education free from pre-primary through secondary school.
