We used to camp on crater plateau, cathedral rocks are in this photo but we spent a lot of time on them two.

There are other peaks like Paretataitonga, with the curved ridgeline and crevasse we spent lots of time training and just playing about until our frozen hands couldn't handle any more.

A long time ago I climbed Mountains.
This is from the highest peak on Te Ika-a-Māui/the North Island.
One of many peaks amongst many around the crater plateau of that time of Ruapehu. 1/2

hasn't been a great week with learning WhāCSīna (Fah-See-nah) is more aggressive, way faster due total lack of immune system.
2/2 Any immune system would act like a sea anchor / or like tying a trunk of a tree to your waist while walking along normally, be it a concrete footpath or along an unformed track.

It's been only a couple of months since a life determining sentence was issued to me. The acceptance n' reality is only just beginning to be processed.

for my wife?
who also thru no fault of her own, is struggling.

An end of treatment stage, ā kōwhai seed was placed on the tree.
And today days later, still feeling the effects of the treatment, so it's rough, and have had better days.
Hospice is coming tomorrow, should prove interesting.

These people, strangers, volunteer to help those going through nightmares unimaginable.
Hamilton's Lions Lodge for Cancer is where the love of strangers, becomes a highlight of your day.
Some will be weeks here, sharing tales n' tears, my time will be shorter, n' shortened
So looking forward to being home tomorrow.
A tough week with more to come.
I've been surrounded by people who I don't know; and, where these same people support in any, and every way they can, myself and others going through our unimaginable nightmares.
