This week we learned about the residential school system by reading books written by survivors. It was an emotional week. On Friday, we wore Orange shirts to honour these survivors and the children who never came home. #NDTR2023 #OrangeShirtDay
I took this course over the summer and it was some of the best PD I have ever taken! If you have questions about it, ask and I’ll try my best to answer! @hwdsb
I was able to listen to 2 episodes of the @IDA_Ontario Reading Roadtrip podcast with host @thismomloves and guests @janhasbrouck and @LindsayKemeny. So many great takeaways from both episodes - from reading fluency and ORF to the 7 mighty moves we can implement in our classroom.
Moved schools and had to do a lot of cleaning and purging… but the room is done and ready for students (just waiting on a whiteboard). Here are some before and afters. @hwdsb
This is amazing! Thank your for your generosity, many students will benefit!
