Excellent presentation this morning by Dr. Ardeshir Hakami-Kermani at the 48th IELCAP meeting about avoiding lung resections in patients with benign nodules. The data have clear implications for SBRT enthusiasts. Take home message = biopsy first. profiles.mountsinai.org/arde…

Thanks #WCLC2025 for letting me share findings from large collaboration between Manchester @LungCheck and Leeds @LungHealthCheck about upper age limit for #lungcancer #screening.
Particularly interesting that ≥75s who get to surgery do as well as 55-74yr olds. Age is a number!

🎯10 Year Health Plan in Action
Dr Haval Balata @hsbalata explains how the ION system helps us to diagnose and treat patients as soon as possible.
The ION system accurately, safely samples small spots in the lungs for cancer so patients can be treated as soon as possible. @MFTnhs are among the first in Europe to adopt it 🦾
