I am devastated by today’s horrific shootings in Tumbler Ridge, B.C. My prayers and deepest condolences are with the families and friends who have lost loved ones to these horrific acts of violence.
I join Canadians in grieving with those whose lives have been changed irreversibly today, and in gratitude for the courage and selflessness of the first responders who risked their lives to protect their fellow citizens.
Our ability to come together in crisis is the best of our country — our empathy, our unity, and our compassion for each other.
I have connected with Premier Eby to express my condolences, and with the Minister of Public Safety, Gary Anandasangaree, who is coordinating the federal response.
Our officials are in close contact with their counterparts to ensure the community is fully supported as best we can. The Government of Canada stands with all British Columbians as they confront this horrible tragedy.

I hinted that there's another naval game being developed by a SMALL indie dev. Today they finally released a dev diary to show you what they've been up to: youtube.com/watch?v=Y-fQ10US… I think this is the most realistic damage model I've ever seen in a naval game
Task Force Admiral, finally a naval game to get hyped about youtu.be/VsmoNP85Kno
Since people have been asking, here's a quick update :P youtu.be/WgDBYbRegI4
Protip: If you ever do a naval architecture program and you have to do a project vessel, pick something simple and easy (bulk carrier, container ship or something). Cruise ships are murder🤣 (context: classmates look up info for 2-3 ports and they good. I look up 120+ T_T)
What a read...holy
“You fucking generals, why can’t you be like the German generals?”
“Which generals?” Kelly asked.
“The German generals in World War II,” Trump responded.
“You do know that they tried to kill Hitler three times and almost pulled it off?” Kelly said. newyorker.com/magazine/2022/…
Pretty awesome thing these guys are doing, support em if you can :)

A short thread on Russian claims regarding #Moskva. Since fire is the worst enemy of a ship, much is done to ensure that fire can be contained or at least contained in a way that one can save the crew. Any area of a ship that is likely to start fires (engine room, galley) 1/
Again, fire on USS Bonhomme Richard was so bad, ship is being scrapped. Most likely scenario, ship got wacked by anti-ship missiles, damage was beyond capabilities of the crew to save the ship (think HMS Sheffield) and crew abandoned ship. 9/
