iComics

I’ve been experimenting with how to display extremely high-res comic book pages shrunk to fit tiny iOS device screens. It’s been a big issue in iComics lately. 🤔 I just tried rolling my own trilinear filter inside of UIKit and by gum, I think we’re onto something here! 😁

Talk about a blast from the past! I randomly remembered the Jaku iComics icon last week and now that iOS supports alternate icons, I contacted @ultratiem and asked if he’d be down for doing this! I’m so thrilled that he was! It looks amazing! :D nitter.cf/ultratiem/status/12256…

Here’s a video of my new file detector in action. I can make direct changes to my app’s sandbox in Files.app, and my detector automatically determines what changed, and generates a notification to update the state in my UITableView.
