The debate as to whether Baptists are Reformed has returned in force today on X.
(We know a little of what it means to be viewed as utterly oxymoronic too).

In almost every place where the Reformation flourished there was not only religious noncompliance; there was civil disobedience as well.
Francis Schaeffer
The fact that the most leading minds in Reformed covenant theology (Owen, Witsius, Brakel, Hodge, Et. al) believed in a future restoration of ethic Israel into their land before the Second Coming means that Covenant Theology cannot be so tightly guard railed as some want.
“Out of the love of the truth and the desire to bring it to light…..”
That is how Luther began his 95 Theses.
Many of the early church fathers viewed justification as a forensic declaration of righteousness.

I’m very thankful for this:

This is why it is so important that actual deeds of obedience are underneath the status we have!
What say ye thou who sayeth the church existed in the OT?
Replying to @DrGladd
Equally: Is the church a secular political assembly? Yes!
Acts 19:32 So then, some were shouting one thing and some another, for THE ASSEMBLY [ἡ ἐκκλησία] was in confusion and the majority did not know for what reason they had come together.
NARRATOR: though ἐκκλησία is a common word with many uses, the NT church is neither Israel nor a political assembly (1 Cor. 10:32, etc.).

“Leave Christ out? O my brethren, better leave the pulpit out altogether. If a man can preach one sermon without mentioning Christ’s name in it, it ought to be his last, certainly the last that any Christian ought to go to hear him preach.”

According to the DHS statement, I was incorrect in the section about Samuel being in the States legally. I believed because he was working in Ohio he was.
None of that justifies the racist, hate filled rhetoric spewing forth by CN anons.
Pray for him and his family.
Samuel Sey, @SlowToWrite, is a friend of mine and precious brother in Christ.
He is in the United States legally, married to an American wife, and the father to dear children.
These Christian Nationalists going after him are showing themselves not only wrong but psychotic.

You can be dispensational and not:
a) blindly affirm secular state Israel,
b) believe weird things such as the Sermon on the Mount is for Israel only,
c) believe that faith precedes regeneration,
d) deny Active Obedience.
It is called Reformed Dispensationalism.

EFS …has been exposed as a deviation from Nicene orthodoxy… It is a form of social Trinitarianism… ~ Carl R. Trueman
The Puritans were marked as skilled preachers.
But it was not so much their oratory skill - as good as that would have been - it was the fact they preached Christ to the saint and to the lost sinner.
They preached the need to live for Him fully from the heart.
When Martin Luther finally grasped the doctrine of Justification he said it was “as if a gateway to paradise had been opened”.
