BREAKING: Ukraine directly rejects Trump's announcement of an energy ceasefire with Russia, with senior Ukrainian officials saying "no one had heard about this ceasefire," that Ukraine has no information about it, and Zelensky saying "the ceasefire announcement is news for me."
Trump announced three hours ago "Effective immediately, there is an ENERGY CEASEFIRE in the War between Russia and Ukraine. Both parties have agreed."

BREAKING: Russia has just struck the CHP-5 power plant in Kharkiv, Ukraine's second largest combined heat and power plant, breaking the US energy ceasefire just hours after Trump announced it.
Zelensky confirms the strike, saying "Just now there was a strike on CHP-5 in the city of Kharkiv."

Our Embassy in Riyadh is in close contact with the Saudi authorities and is extending all possible assistance to the affected families.
The SBP Governor and three Deputy Governors received a combined Rs182.53 million in salaries and benefits in FY26, up 94% from a year earlier. The increase amounted to Rs88.55 million.
Payments to non-executive SBP board members rose even faster, increasing 126% to Rs25.16 million. Total salaries and benefits for SBP staff also grew 8.4% to about Rs1.16 billion.
The remuneration increase came as SBP's reported profit fell by Rs507 billion, or about 20%, to Rs1,992 billion in FY26 due to fall in policy rate.

"MLCF, in partnership with FFCL, also acquired a majority stake in Agritech Limited (AGL).
MLCF acquired 33.66% directly and Maple Leaf Capital acquired 6.46%, resulting in total group ownership of 40.12%.
The total purchase cost for shares, preference shares and term finance certificates was PKR 8.3 bn AHCML said
"MLCF currently owns 100% of Novacare Hospitals, with a foreign equity partner intending to acquire a 20% stake in the future.
The project is expected to be completed by 4QFY27" Intermarket securities said

Meezan Bank has approved 6,880 housing finance cases worth approximately Rs49 billion under the Wazir-e-Azam Apna Ghar Program - Ghar Ho Tu Apna (GHTA) Scheme, with 1,000 families receiving financing totalling Rs7.34 billion as of September 30, 2026.
According to a statement released on Friday, the bank has received more than 27,800 applications worth approximately Rs179 billion through its own network and the PHA.
Of these, 13,474 applications amounting to Rs100.7 billion were received through the bank's network, while another 14,397 applications worth Rs78.65 billion came through the PHA network.
