Mikel Arteta says “we are not in Disneyland” as he discusses his reaction to Max Dowman’s red card #AFC
bbc.co.uk/sport/football/art…
On Rice, Tzolis and Calafiori: "All trained today, and if all goes well they will be available for Liverpool."
Arteta on Dowman's red card appeal being dismissed: "Very disappointed to be fair. Especially with the reckless tackles he receives. His reaction is minimal to the action." #AFC
Arsenal’s appeal to have Max Dowman’s red card overturned has been dismissed by the FA.
Regulation & Discipline update on @Arsenal:
ALT An independent Regulatory Commission has dismissed claims of both wrongful dismissal and excessive punishment for Max Dowman. The Arsenal player was sent off during their EFL Cup game against Fleetwood Town on Tuesday 27 October and will be suspended for three matches. The Regulatory Commission’s written reasons for its decisions will be published in due course.
On @bbc5live in the next few minutes chatting Arsenal, the Carabao Cup and Max Dowman
This is the first test of Max Dowman’s short career. The 16-year-old was on the end of a heavy tackle that could have hurt him and reacted. Mikel Arteta clearly not happy and said the messaging before the match “was very clear” #AFC

Arsenal are out of the Carabao Cup as they are embarrassed by Fleetwood Town. Such a poor performance. Not a single senior player can be pleased with how they performed
A big learning curve for Dowman. He did react after the tackle and gave the referee a choice to make. Straight red.
Ceadach O'Neill has had some good moments for Arsenal. You can see why Arteta likes him. Works hard, good technique and makes good decisions
The best thing about that half for Arsenal is that the game was delayed for eight minutes because of a drone flying above the pitch.

Debuts for Ceadach O’Neil and Illan Meslier as Arteta makes nine changes for the match with Fleetwood
Mikel Arteta called him "unbelievable", his former team-mates call him one of the best centre backs in football. Ezri Konsa has made a fast start at Arsenal and has eased any worries about William Saliba's time out #AFC

Absolutely massive for Harry Kane to win Ballon d’Or. What a player. Well deserved. That performance the other night for Bayern v Arsenal was on another level. He’s getting better and better.
