This is one guy who makes guesses based on how many reviews a game has in the store. So, let's take this as legit. Wolverine cost 500 million and got 192 million back. It will fall off a cliff in sales due to COD and GTA6. Meanwhile, Game pass 400-500 mill every month still lol

Yeah the audience for E Day is definitely on Xbox, no question.

I don’t think Danny and Ryan are bad people, but I do think they’re out of touch with how some people perceive them. They get plenty of unfair criticism over things outside their control. But sometimes people just don’t like the energy they give off, and that feedback isn’t automatically hate. When you’ve built your careers giving feedback, it’s reasonable to expect you to hear some without immediately dismissing people as “just haters.”

So funny, because if you believe this one leak, you'd have to believe everything these guys say, right? Jason literally said 500 million is the cost of every AAA game. Looks like big trouble for Wolverine!

Normalise laughing at anyone who gets their gaming stuff for free yet still feels they can criticise those who actually spend their own cash, just because they didn't buy a game they could access via a subscription they're already paying for. These dudes' opinions are worthless.
Dudes want Xbox exclusives yet don’t buy them. Twitter noise doesn’t translate to sales.

I fully agree. I have been hearing the "doom and gloom" of XBOX since the beggining of the generation. And the platform is still here and still dishing out games and services. TRUE, the previous management, didnt deliver. But the bottom line is, that im playing tons of games on the platform. The Series X is probably the best console i ever owned, eversince the Xbox360. Im keeping my eye ofc on the new management and see what (or how well) they will deliver next-gen. But so far, i love my xbox. #Xbox #xboxshare #PS5 @XBOX
Honestly, I’m getting tired of the constant doom and gloom surrounding XBOX and Microsoft. Every announcement, every business decision, every game release somehow becomes another opportunity for people to declare that XBOX is collapsing, that its games aren’t selling, or that its future is in danger. And now we’re already seeing people writing Gears of War: E-Day’s financial obituary before the game has even had the chance to prove itself. Let’s be realistic for a moment. None of us has access to Microsoft’s internal financial data, development budgets, Game Pass economics, long-term revenue projections or the strategic reasoning behind its decisions. We don’t know what the actual business case for E-Day looks like. So how can anyone confidently claim that the game has little chance of being profitable? A game’s value cannot always be measured by traditional sales figures alone. Game Pass engagement, subscriptions, player retention, franchise growth, merchandise, future releases and the long-term value of an established IP all contribute to a much bigger picture. And making Gears of War: E-Day an XBOX exclusive is not automatically a financial mistake. Gears is one of the defining franchises of the XBOX brand. Investing in it, protecting its identity and giving The Coalition the opportunity to deliver something exceptional is exactly the kind of commitment people have been asking Microsoft to show. I have absolutely no problem with criticism. XBOX deserves scrutiny, just like every other platform holder. But there’s a massive difference between constructive criticism and constantly pushing a narrative that everything Microsoft touches is doomed to fail. At some point, it becomes exhausting. Not every decision is a disaster , not every game is a failure and NOT every business strategy needs to be declared dead by people who don’t have any clue.. I’m tired of speculation being presented as fact, gamers being treated like they need to justify their choices, and “reviewers”acting as if they have all the answers. You can criticize the decisions, question the strategy, discuss the numbers. But stop lecturing gamers, stop pretending speculation is financial analysis, and stop trying to turn every XBOX conversation into another funeral.

I was gonna go on a bigger rant here but I’ll just say this. Ryan’s comment came off as elitist here, and I think he knows it. The bigger your voice becomes in this space the more responsibility you have. It means more people come to you and listen, and they like what you’ve said in the past to hit follow in the first place. That doesn’t mean the guy with 50 followers can’t have a great opinion or their criticism isn’t valid. But on the flip side the bigger you get the more trolls and random, unnecessary hate gets thrown your way so it can definitely be frustrating dealing with people like that. Comes with the territory though so you gotta learn to deal with it.
That deleted post perfectly encapsulates the attitude I've been talking about. “I'm paid to give my opinion, you're not” isn't some devastating rebuttal. It's an incredibly arrogant way of saying, “My views carry weight because I'm paid to express them, yours don't.” Being a professional commentator doesn't grant you immunity from criticism. Quite the opposite: if you're going to make a living telling people what you think, you have to accept that they'll have something to say about it. You recently lamented the growing hostility in your replies, yet turn around and effectively tell your audience that their opinions count for nothing because you're the one getting paid. Perhaps the problem isn't the bots and engagement farmers you're so keen to blame.

THESE PlayStation fanboy journalist have there panties in a bunch, because Gears Of War E day is not on their beloved PlayStation, 5 console and Elder Scrolls, 6 will not be on the PlayStation. 5 also.

Problem for Xbox is that despite E Day being amazing, people need a critical mass of exclusives, plus the promise of more, before investing in a console. One game won’t cut it. Also there’s always the doubt now that they will stay exclusive.

One good thing about social media, it has allowed me to see the real side of these 'journalists.' Nearly all of them are true pieces of shit.
In your quickness to defend @godfree and his asinine take on being above all criticism, you happened to delete this @DMC_Ryan I’ve been following you since Colin was at IGN and this is such a horrible take man. Feeling above others just because you get paid to? Pretty sad mindset

I'm no expert, but 1 game doesn't shift the console space. A committed, consistent intent for exclusivity with a proven track record does. Let them cook.
Circana says Gears of War E-Day exclusivity did not drive Xbox console sales “That hasn’t made any difference in terms of the hardware trend, and in fact the hardware trend keeps getting worse, they’ve lost some distribution in the US”

The user contradicts themselves in this tweet. PHANTOM BLADE ZERO is not a console exclusive. As proven by the user themselves posting Steam analytics for the game. store.steampowered.com/app/4115450/Ph…
