Nobody reads the 20,000-page report.
Most organisations are built top-down: one person carries the problem while everyone waits to be told what to do.
Five people in a room, actually talking, get 10x the result.
So why do we still wait for one person to have the answer?
The way out of the red ocean isn't sharper teeth. It's different water.
Your own pond, where you set the rules and there's nobody else like you.
It starts with your values and culture, then flows into how you market, hire and sell.
What do you do that no competitor would?
The genies are out of the bottle. Our part is to be wise about what we wish for.

Dream. Dare. Rise.
Imagine you're in the sea, and the water is red.
Sharks everywhere. Everyone on the same playbook, squeezing another 10% out of their ads and their people.

Where do you draw the line with AI tools?
What would you hand over without a second thought, and what will only ever leave your desk with your own name and your own hands on it?
The genie in my pocket is a digital assistant I text. In its first week it produced a podcast video with captions, built header images, drafted posts and searched public records for my family history.
Nothing went out until I said so. That pause is the whole point.
Before I hand any tool a task, I ask three questions.
Have I said clearly what I want, and what I don't?
Would I give this much access to a new employee on day one?
Where do I stay in the loop before anything leaves in my name?

What it did next is one of the oldest stories we have. 1/5
Every tradition that works with intention teaches the same thing: be precise, because whatever you leave vague will be filled in for you.
The genie in the old stories was never the problem. The wish was. 4/5
Black October: researchers using AI found critical flaws in PHP, the code behind much of the web, and attacks followed.
That same week, the same kind of intelligence was quietly running errands for me.
The tool is neither hero nor villain. The hand that holds it decides.
Everybody Has a Different Idea of Heaven Anyway. A short story. Happy Birthday @StephenKing.

I’ve been an Apple user since iTunes and have always been able to define my own playlists so I can categorise my music library. But today I log in and it tells me I need a subscription to access playlists (on mobile). What the actual?
