When @Malala and @ZiauddinY started Malala Fund, one of their dreams was to build the first secondary school for girls in the village where Malala’s mother grew up.
In 2018, Shangla Girls School opened with 183 students in the mountains of northern Pakistan. Today, it serves 1,050 girls — and last year, it celebrated its first graduating class of 29, every one of them passing with top marks.
