Even as someone who has absolutely no stake whatsoever in US politics, the Michigan race is interesting. At this point the AIPAC may as well be its own party I’d say.
Democrat Haley Stevens endorses Republican Mike Rogers for the U.S. Senate in Michigan over Abdul El-Sayed.

Sam Altman thinks RAM sitting in personal computers is a waste when it could be put to better use in data centers. Weird. I was just thinking that all those billions sitting in billionaires’ bank accounts could be put to much better use in our communities.

Fuck Sam Altman. I hope his company crashes and burn. To have a say on what people can have or not, he thinks he’s a god or something?
OpenAI CEO Sam Altman says having RAM in personal computers is a ‘terrible’ use of limited resources and that it would be better utilized in data centers 🖥️ "From a global allocation perspective, actually, it’s quite terrible to have everyone have a bunch of the world’s limited supply of DRAM sitting in their own computer"

yes, the jakarta method is real. yes, it's confirmed by a former CIA senior officer. yes, you Indonesians have been fed propaganda since birth (and have been falling for it)
Former CIA officer John Kiriakou, on Indonesia 1965 : > "they literally crafted this narrative that was absolutely untrue, that a Communist Party was going to rise up and kill everyone" > "military ended up clashing with the Communist Party in Indonesia and one million people died" > "Several documents of the CIA actually say that it was a model of an operation" The CIA's own 1968 research study called the killings "one of the worst mass murders of the 20th century". The agency knew exactly what it was looking at. Then Washington backed Suharto for 32 years. I keep coming back to this one because it's the case that shaped everything after it, from Chile to the colour revolutions of today. If the people who ran it called it a success, what exactly were they measuring ?

The worst part of it is it still haunts Indonesia to this day. The president? The son in law of the main benefactor if not the culprit of that politicide. And all he wants now is to drag the country back to that period once more. Oh and no, of course this isn’t taught in schools

BREAKING: Defeated Brazilian presidential candidate Flavio Bolsonaro steps off a private jet in Miami after President Trump approved his entry into the United States despite a court order banning him from leaving his home country. Bolsonaro reportedly used an Italian passport to cross into Argentina with his family before boarding a private plane that stopped in Ecuador on its way to Florida. The Trump administration confirmed it is granting visas to Bolsonaro and his family, just days after his election defeat. For the latest details, read the full story: foxnews.com/world/sen-flavio…

I extend my deepest condolences on the passing of former Prime Minister Yasuo Fukuda. We have lost a dear friend, and his passing is deeply felt. May he rest in peace. Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono Sixth President of the Republic of Indonesia Saya menyampaikan belasungkawa yang sedalam-dalamnya atas wafatnya mantan Perdana Menteri Jepang, Yasuo Fukuda. Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono Presiden Republik Indonesia Ke-6

Oh my God lol. A Japanese poster basically tweeted: why are there so few booze options in Korea So a Korean poster replied: Wow this gives me the same vibe as hearing a Japanese person in Chongqing (China) asking why there are so few historical sites I looked into it and the reason is because the Japanese bombed substantial parts of Chongqings historic and urban areas and in Korea Japan's colonial administration systematically disrupted the foundations of Korea's traditional alcohol culture by systemically suppressing much of household brewing which almost wiped out hundreds of regional liquor traditions 😭
