I’ve managed millions of dollars in ad spend for top brands. And here’s what I’ve realized: They don’t care about clicks, views, engagement, click through rates, CPM’s, CPA etc. These things matter but what matters most is Profitability. So fix your focus on the actual thing that matters.

Struggling with marketing your brand? Then learn to reverse engineer what the top brands in your industry are doing. Look at their ads, product pages, buy them to see the backend etc. This will teach you everything you need.

Traffic stayed the same. Ad spend was relatively the same No new campaigns. But still we were able to move from $36 → $63 AOV. Which means that we could spend an extra $27 on ads and still be profitable. Which is insane. Now…

We added a subscription based option on the product pages. This was to make it easier for people to buy more units the next month without the stress of shopping again. The subscription option had a take rate of 33% which was pretty decent. But still that wasn’t enough.

We wanted to make sure that the 67% that didn’t take the subscription option still returned. So we segmented their email list based on shopping behavior… Then sent various offers to that 67%. And also sent the subscription based model as an offer to the existing customers. So essentially…

An Ecom brand came to us mid December. They needed help scaling their ecom store. We told them we could do it WITHOUT: Touching the ads. No extra ad spend. No new creatives. In 30 days, we made an extra $216,061 Here’s how we did it + how you can too. <<< A Thread >>>

Consider a scenario where you purchase soap, toothpaste and cologne for $15 individually. However when the bundle option is taken? A discount would be applied. This incentive urged customers to go for the bundle rather than getting it individually, ultimately increasing the AOV. Next:

We had to figure out a way to get the customers to buy more units and increase AOV. So we decided to implement a bundle and subscription based model with them. And we did this using: i) Pricing psychology. Which is:

- Toothpastes. - Shampoos. - Deodorant. - Cologne. - Lotion. And they had an average order value of $36 and were profitable on a good day. But there wasn’t a system to ensure that these customers returned. So we did two things in the store:

I’m Norman. I’ve been in the ecom space for 7 years now. And have sold almost half a billion and spent over $50M on ads. Some context on this ecom store: They are in the skin/body care industry. They sell:

A couple years ago; I sold $120K in 2.5 weeks using fb ads. Photo attached as proof. (Ignore my face lol) But just a couple months before then? I plateaued. But I got back up and signed a six figure deal. How? Well I attended an event. It was a networking event with: Creators. Agency owners. Ecom brand owners. High ticket businesses. The host of this event asked me what I did. I told him I had an ecom store and ran the ads myself. Then I showed him the results And he was blown away. Somehow my results spread and a lot of people picked interest in me. One I could remember at the time was Thomas. He had a TikTok UGC agency and he was impressed with my results. A few days later; Thomas (@itsthomasma) reached back out to me; He said; “I saw your numbers and I know you’re good at what you do, but what do you think of this client?” The client was an instagram influencer with 20M followers. She ran a clothing line. And they needed a marketing specialist for paid ads. So they brought me on. A few months later; We got her a 20X return on ad spend. Meaning that for every $1 she put in, she got $20 out. This was across all testing and scaling campaigns. Other people saw it. Thomas saw the results behind the screen. Since then, I’ve had a ton of quality clients thrown my way. Never had to chase clients or send a DM. Right now? I’m extremely picky with the clients I work with. The lesson? Get good at what you do, connect with the right people and you’ll have a ton of opportunities thrown your way. Also, be grateful for the opportunities that come your way. Thank you, @itsthomasma. And thanks for reading. If you enjoyed it, then drop me a follow @Ichuseyou for more content like this.

Subtle reminder: Promote your products shamelessly. Your competitors might have low quality products. But the most promoted usually wins.

You need a thick skin if you want to survive: - People will hate you for no reason. - They’ll write shit comments on your ads. - Some will report your account and ask others to do so. And it doesn’t matter how good or how big you are. Learn to read, ignore and move on with your business.

Like + comment here and I'll send you 2 videos I filmed going into the system. At the end of our Early Bird BFCM campaigns… We generated $272K in sales and spent about $45K on ads. Producing a 6X ROAS. Not bad for her first month.
