purely a vibes based impression but it does kinda feel like one big thing that's changed since the 2010s is almost no one tries to talk to voters as adults anymore. democrats speak as parents to children, scolding one moment and condescendingly indulgent the next. trump openly

the Ayo contract may end up being the difference between Minnesota becoming a champion and not
The Ayo trade was really good for the Bulls, but people aren't ready to have that conversation yet. Leonard Miller is a baller, they lost enough games to move up for Caleb Wilson, and there would have been zero reason to give Ayo the 5/$112 he got from Minnesota. AK masterclass?

Contract would be much better split between more smaller role productive players. Could’ve been Minott + NAW or Minott + Gillespie + Goodwin or something. I get not needing NAW bc of Ant and Donte but it would’ve been helpful

Dwight Powell is really washed so i don’t understand why you’d give up a young talented player for an aging vet when you’re a not very good roster
Marc Stein (@TheSteinLine) on the possibility of the Mavericks waiving Moussa Cissé or making a consolidation trade to open up a roster spot for Dwight Powell: “Now would the Mavericks really release, say, center Moussa Cissé to make room for Powell after matching a July offer sheet from the Knicks to Cissé in restricted free agency and then allowing Cissé's $2.2 million salary to become fully guaranteed by keeping him on the roster beyond Oct. 1? That all seemed highly unlikely … until hearing May gush over Powell's play. The Mavericks could also attempt to create a roster spot via trade, but such an approach could prove even more difficult to execute so close to Opening Night.” (via marcstein.substack.com/p/the…)

Dallas desperately needs to be building out their roster and slowly taking steps forward and instead they’re trying to win as much as possible as fast as possible and I understand wanting stability around high import players but it’s a balancing act

these companies need to be strangled to death by the full force of the regulatory state at the soonest opportunity this is just actively promoting baseless smear campaigns in the middle of an election
BREAKING: Texas Senate race shifts into “Tossup” territory amid growing questions surrounding James Talarico's mysterious 13-day absence. Paxton surges to a 42% chance to win.

This dipshit is going to get sued. 1) His calls were placed at almost 9pm on 10/10 hours after Talarico was seen in public. 2) He was asked for a patient code, that he stupidly thinks is an authorization code. He says he made one up in his post. Which means the patient that was looked up was NOT Talarico but a random patient status. 3) At least one of his audio files is flagged as “AI edited” by AI detectors. 4) Lying about your identity to access health records is a crime, both federally and in multiple states. 5) Even if you know a patient code, patient statuses are not given out to unidentified callers. 6) No where will tell you if a patient has been discharged. 7) If they did tell you, they would not need to say “within the last 24-48 hours” there records are exact, and giving a general timeline is no less illegal than an exact time. So either it’s: A) All fake, and libellous. Or B) You committed fraud in pursuit of health records, found nothing and then also lied about it. It’s honestly sad and as discrediting as can be. I’ve seen trash rag tabloids do reporting with more shame.
🚨𝗕𝗥𝗘𝗔𝗞𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗡𝗘𝗪𝗦: My independent investigation into @JamesTalarico follows the initial reporting by @SaraGonzales and @CarolineWren concerning a reported private aircraft charter traveling from Hamilton, Ohio, to Austin, TX ➡️ Dallas, TX ➡️ Austin, TX. I personally contacted @LindnerCtrHope in Mason, Ohio, to determine whether Talarico was or had previously been a patient. During my recorded call, an individual identifying themselves as a female facility employee reportedly stated that Talarico was no longer a patient and had been discharged within the previous 24–48 hours. Texans deserve accurate, independently verified information about candidates seeking to represent them in the U.S. Senate. The stakes are too high for speculation.

For those who aren’t sure how HIPAA works, Talarico would’ve had to sign a release for the center to release this statement, and it would be illegal for them to lie here. I think we may have started using the phrase “we are living in the dumbest timeline ever” far too soon. There are levels of dumb beyond our comprehension still to come.
Representative James Talarico has never received treatment from Lindner Center of Hope.

NEW: We obtained the full six minute audio of the Lindner recording. The employee there repeatedly denied anyone named “James Talarico” was in her system at all. Only towards the end did she say someone had checked out that day. via @willsommer thebulwark.com/p/maga-james-…

We gotta face the fact that COVID hasn't ended in the commercial sector. 24 hours stores are gone, everything is run by 5 people at most, and no one wants to hire because it might make profits a little less
Literally everything runs on skeleton crews now. Got stuck in like for like 30 minutes at the grocery this week because they had only 1 register open and no one fixing the broken self check outs. At 5pm. On a friday.

I love MPJ for everything he’s done on the court and in the locker room for the Nets, but man, the dude seems to be an absolute tool off the court.
Próximo convidado do podcast do MPJ é o Enes Kanter… O Joe e a Clara Tsai fazem um trabalho tão bom em tentar promover a WNBA o Liberty, é feio ver um dos principais jogadores do Nets dando palco para um cara que só quer se aparecer às custas do basquete feminino.
