Britain should pay reparations to Yemen
“Plainly, Britain must stop these weapons transfers immediately.” David Wearing argues Britain must reckon with its role in Yemen’s devastating war, halt arms sales to Saudi Arabia and pay reparations to the Yemeni people. Read more and subscribe: zeteouk.substack.com/p/brita…

The billionaire owned media would hate for you to share this apology....
On September 2 we published a post linking to an article entitled "Green Party deputy accused of misusing taxpayer funds" which wrongly stated that Councillor Mothin Ali had used thousands of pounds of taxpayers' cash meant for council work to partly fund his national role. We apologise to Cllr Ali for publishing this incorrect statement.

Happy to share my thoughts with the media and audiences in India. 🇨🇳China and 🇮🇳India are both great ancient civilizations and the largest developing countries. There is so much potential if we could work together. China was, is, and will always be a member of the Global South ♥️
#WATCH | At the 18th BRICS Summit, a Chinese journalist representing CGTN, Li Jingjing, says, "This is a very important BRICS meeting. The whole world is looking at cooperation between India and China. The developing countries, or what we call global sub-countries, are demanding an equal world order that will answer the interests and demands of developing countries. The people of all Global South countries share a common concern that the interests of their people are not being amplified on the world stage. So, through regional corporations like BRICS, where we meet, developing countries are raising their concerns and working together to enhance cooperation. China really supports the development of the Global South. And President Xi has made it clear that China will always be a member of the Global South."

Diapers are a basic necessity for babies and children to maintain comfort and hygiene - but in Gaza, even the most ordinary necessities have become financially out of reach for many families. The Israeli occupation limits items from entering - and yes including baby diapers. chuffed.org/project/113327-r… Um Yousef, a mother living in our Refaat Alareer Camp, spoke about the daily stress of trying to provide Pampers for her infant son. Diapers may be available in the markets, but the prices are so high that she cannot afford to buy them consistently. For a mother already carrying the weight of displacement and uncertainty, something as simple as keeping her baby clean and comfortable becomes another constant worry. On August 23, The Sameer Project distributed diapers to 18 children and patients in Refaat Alareer Camp, including 4 packs of size 3, 7 packs of size 4, and 7 packs of size 5 for a total cost of $205 including commission fees of 11%. It may seem like a small initiative. But for the mothers receiving them, it means one less essential they have to go without and one less impossible choice they have to make. This is what your support provides: practical, immediate relief for families trying to care for their children under conditions that make even the basics difficult to afford. Donate to the Refaat Alareer Camp link to support these families. Other ways to donate include: paypal.me/mahertali (Paypal option, please make sure to add a message saying "GENERAL") account.venmo.com/u/Maher-Al… (Venmo option, please make sure to add a message saying "GENERAL")

Great to be in Darjeeling! Started my visit with one of the region’s most iconic traditions - a stop at the historic @MakaibariTea Estate and, of course, a cup of world-famous Darjeeling tea.

‼️Statement RE my suspension from the Greens. I was suspended for the 'crime' of being a trans woman who ran for a women's place. The "media interest" in my gender was cited as the sole reason for my suspension. ( 1 / 2 )

Western so-called "democracies" are censoring independent media outlets by debanking them. If you publish journalism exposing the crimes of Western oligarch-controlled regimes, they tell banks to freeze your accounts to prevent you from operating. This is blatant censorship.

Why should we be shocked by this? Dan Gertler, the Israeli diamond magnate, had exclusive rights to purchase diamonds. He plundered the Congo and enriched himself by corrupting Congolese leaders through mining and oil deals.
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu met today with the President of the Democratic Republic of the Congo Félix Tshisekedi. During their meeting, the Prime Minister and the President agreed to strengthen the economic and security relations between the two countries.

This warmongering is absolutely happening cause their debt markets have signalled economic failings incoming.
I just spoke with @Bundeskanzler Friedrich Merz. NATO stands in full solidarity with Germany after the Russian hybrid attack in Leipzig on 4 August. The evidence is clear. And I welcome the measures announced by Germany in response. NATO will continue to strengthen our ability to deter and defend all Allies against any threat – including malign actions like those seen in Leipzig and elsewhere across the Alliance. Russia’s attempts to intimidate us, to undermine our unity and our willingness to support Ukraine are futile and will fail. Our support to Ukraine is unwavering, as is our ironclad commitment to NATO’s collective defence

So now they are after Lord Simon Woolley who is twice the man as any of his detractors in the right wing media. He has done more good across communities and will leave a lasting legacy that Gove, Gilligan and Young could only dream of.

Agents of the US empire are trying to make people think that China caused the Nepal-Tibet flood. We can be sure that in the coming years the US-led West will claim that China caused climate change, and that the fight against China is the fight against climate change.

Retweeting because it may be a learning moment for anyone still reading the Guardian as a serious source of information on sensitive geopolitical issues. Dumbarse liberal readers who think theyre so clever need to understand they may as well be reading The Star.
‼️🇮🇷 – Saeed Kamali Dehghan, former Guardian journalist, confessed he made up the 2010 article about an Iranian woman sentenced to stoning: “That interview never happened. I fabricated the entire piece. It was a false story – completely untrue – and I take full responsibility.”
