An AI Editor will be so easily replaceable. The people who hired you could just do it themselves. You offer literally nothing. Shit, they may end up hiring a real editor with "taste and craft" to stand out in the oversaturated AI slop content market that you're helping create.
AI EDITING is very real and it’s very good and anyone telling you otherwise is lying or narcissistic about their own taste and “craft”. The taste the employer cares about is their own. The taste the audience cares about is their own. But most editors think that their taste is all important, same for most designers. The amount of an analog cope by professional software users is mostly just the bargaining phase of grief. Actual analog is where human craft is going to matter but not as an artistic flourish, but where a tangible body is meaningful. Photography, video production, art design, lighting and grip work, even physical packaging design and build outs. If it was communicated in a brief over email, or where someone sits over your shoulder as a creative director… That creative director can give the brief to AI, like Claude and Claude can do the same work in the same software. For video editing… by the time they upload the files to a Google Drive, across time zones for 4K footage and confirmed you downloaded it and got the brief… The AI will have the rough cut and more done in Premiere or DaVinci… At that point it’s not even just about the money… it’s about speed of execution and guaranteed deadlines… Which also means the capacity to do more production when editing is not the bottleneck anymore. And so many people in the world of editing or design… a world I was already in before some of you reading this were born…. I was using Macromedia and Corel when some of you were in swaddling clothes … Have become either so narcissistic or romantic about the idea of your “art” or “craft” or you’ve ever done this on the internet… never in a corporate office or at an agency… Deadlines actually matter. And your employer/client unless they are just as romantic as you… needs to fulfill a contract and needs to do more work… Because unless you’re a kid living off mommy and daddy in the suburbs… yes you’re in it for the money… Every video that can be shipped is another video that ads and sponsors can be sold against. Every design package fulfilled to spec, means room to take on another contract. You’re paid because your “art”, your “process” produces a result. Without the result, there is no paycheck… and you’re back to a hobby that has a subscription cost due every single month…. Yes, a human in the loop matters for polish. And that now means you don’t necessarily need the most technical editor or designer in the world… It might mean someone who was on set that day and thus has more context than getting an email brief matters. Or that the ok camera talent, now that all the mechanical work is done dam simply communicate what they want by literally voice dictating their vision to the software. Your technical ability was a moat and it was earned. But I have been using these tools since 1996…. 30 damn years… And they are better to work with than many of you who are 30 years old for a reason… You assume it’s about saving money, but most of it is how unprofessional and hard many of you have become to work with… And the fact you’re too emotionally invested in your style. Most of your clients are much more concerned about getting it done, and shipped on time… and with the least anxiety and emotional frustration possible. And that for many will mean doing it with AI, or with a person using AI that is more physically available and is a high trust human that knows how to manage their anxiety and expectations instead of negotiating every creative decision. Speed and Trust are more valuable now than the technical moat and monopoly you used to hold. You’re over valuing your own sense of taste when that is NOT what you were hired for … it’s what you like about yourself and your craft. The taste that matters to your employer is their own. And this is the worst this technology will ever be. When it’s less near sighted and less hard of hearing… The cope will be much harder.

I mean consider how everyone LOVES and PRAISES practical effects in horror movies to this day. It's still highly regarded decades later and many consumers and professionals seek it out, long after CGI has been available. It's just how humans are. We value effort and passion.

These fucking dweebs will literally be a waste of money. Like really think about that future, where 75% of content is AI-edited. Real editors will be sought after because they offer actual nuance and character. At the very least these dopes will not be able to get jobs lmao

What a depressing video. Seeing people trade their love and passion for shortcuts to churn out "content". You can see all the editing errors in this video that he used AI to edit, all while he talks about how easy it is now. There is no love here. AI can't tell. People can.
Is editing "the old way" gone forever? ... yeah

When the fuck did Magic: The Gathering become all about getting an infinite combo every game? I feel like back when I played decades ago, having an infinite combo in a deck was a "look at this shit haha" party trick you pull out once for fun. Shit isn't the same anymore lol

Obviously this tweet is straight bait, but there are dweebs out there who think it's going to be different for them and their "ideas" than it is right now, which is them just getting relentlessly mocked and shamed. The "subculture" will be so uninviting, it will never be main.
I am not joking when I say this. Spotify, Apple Music, and streaming in general is over. AI music is now very, very good. You just don't know yet because all AI music circulating today is from ~2-3 generations ago. Suno v6 pro et al has solved infinite personalized music.

I want to voice why I have a problem with Lucia as a playable protagonist in GTA. Mainly because, I've seen some mutuals suggesting that disliking this means you "hate women" or that it's some sort of sexist belief. Let's make something very clear: female protagonists in video games... are completely fine. But it is preferrable for it to make sense. For example: Lara Croft is a master of gymnastics, and she leverages her agility/flexibility in her fighting style. Not to mention, she mostly relies on guns. Bayonetta aka Cereza is a fantasy character. It works perfectly fine, because she acts as more of a fantasy heroine. The same applies to characters like Tifa, Agrias, etc: they exist in a fantasy middle ground, where they can believably work as strong melee fighters. 2B is an android... the list goes on. Video game developers have historically always made sure that their physical fighters who are women, actually fit logically/in the context of their game's world or story. GTA6 is a different story entirely, because GTA is and always has been heavily grounded in reality. Obviously a lot of the feats you accomplish in the game would never happen in the real world, but that doesn't matter. We're discussing immersion, not technicalities. You can think of immersion like a rubber-band: our brains are willing to "stretch" what is believable, but if you stretch it too far, the rubber-band breaks. Luca is a 135lb Latina who can literally beat the shit out of 3+ dudes with her fists. For anyone with a normal brain who understands GTA, this is going to absolutely shatter their faculties. It's taking GTA and stretching it into more of a fantasy, than a grounded crime game/story. Maybe you personally don't have your faculties broken by a small Latina woman being able to fist fight three dudes in GTA who would absolutely fucking destroy her, but I do. This doesn't mean I hate women. It has nothing to do with my feelings for women, in fact, and everything to do with how I perceive/process fiction and fantasy. I've never viewed GTA as a fantasy, so seeing a character like Lucia being able to rely on brute strength and fighting ability to overpower 3 men at once is jarring and cringe. And this is intentional, by the way: western video game developers have made it their open and outspoken mission to erase the lines between fictional men and women. They want to push the narrative that "everything men can do, women can do just as well!" It's the product of a modern, ideological agenda whether the GTA6 diehards want to admit it or not. If this was the Rockstar of old, Lucia would have a completely different fighting style. She wouldn't be boxing with 3 dudes and winning. But because the western games industry is ""progressive"" now, this would be considered sExiST and misoGynisTIC. That's what makes it fucking retarded and annoying: your excuses and "buT u cAn flY ouT of a cAR anD surviVE" talking points are irrelevant.

You know what’s funny? As a Blender artist this entire time I was like, no, my skills and talent are irreplaceable by a machine. Yet here I am watching a machine create an entire scene I would take days to weeks to make in a single fucking prompt. This is a sick joke, seriously fuck this.
GPT 6 Astra is INSANE. It built the backrooms in blender and then added VHS effects etc. Took 30 minutes to make it and another 20 to export. This isn't AI generated video it's all in blender. It did the sound effects too. aprox 5 prompts.

I know my visual edits in my videos are composite heavy, and they tank encoding times, but is anybody else having INSANE encoding time issues with Premiere this last week? I'm going to lose what little is left of my mind if I don't bite the bullet and switch to Resolve soon lol

It's funny because this video is clearly a joke, but so many responses claim this is how people actually talk. It isn't. I've never met one. This is just what the actual socially inept people think it is like. 99% of folks you would run into in the real world are not like this.

Political brainrot, Exhibit B. The people who spouted over and over about everyone else being snowflakes sure are the biggest crybabies imaginable. Probably best for them to continue creating their own safe spaces, make their own games and stop whining like toddlers.
As a long time halo fan, it is really sad to see what they have done to the franchise. It really breaks my heart. This guy explains it way better than I ever could.

not saying I feel vindicated but man it feels vindicating to have these interactions with what I can only assume to be the average "gamer" disregarding an entire body of work because they got pissy-pants about difficulty. Fucker blocked and then unblocked me mid-response btw lol

was taking a shit and playing sudoku on my phone, remembered how much I think it's ridiculous to give "hints" to sudoku players like wtf what is the point in playing if you need hints, and then I realized it is the epitome of my disappointment in the steam reviews for Subliminal.
Steam reviews annoy me. The "Mixed" rating on Subliminal being mostly "It's Poppy Playtime" and "The puzzles are too difficult" is just ridiculous. This is why I hate referring to myself as a "gamer" because the appreciation for art is just lost for most of them. 1/9

Oh the mascot of these childhood locations might instill irrational fear in the mind of a child because it's been poisoned by a super traumatic experience? Must be mascot horror slop! God, it's such a braindead way of thinking, and it's tired and boring. 8/9

Subliminal was an awesome experience and I think it's one of the best in its genre, and that genre is not mascot horror, nor is it "slop" by any stretch. It's a well-crafted, liminal space, psychological horror. Recommended. Immerse yourself and enjoy. @TheSubliminalG well done!
