On 31.08.2026, the Hon'ble Addl. District & Sessions Judge-cum-Special Judge (POCSO), Phulbani, Kandhamal has convicted Santosh Swain in CT Case No. 03/2017, arising out of Phulbani Town P.S. Case No. 06, dated 10.01.2017, for the offence punishable under Section 376(2)(i) of IPC read with Section 4 of the POCSO Act.
𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗮𝗰𝗰𝘂𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝗵𝗮𝘀 𝗯𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝘀𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗱 𝗮𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗼𝘄𝘀:
✅ U/s 376(2)(i) of IPC r/w Section 4 of the POCSO Act: Rigorous Imprisonment for 10 years and a fine of ₹20,000/-, with further Rigorous Imprisonment for 04 months in default of payment.

The Boudh Police has achieved a conviction in Boudh PS Case No.234/2025. The Hon'ble court has sentenced the accused person to undergo rigorous imprisonment for 10 years and pay fine of Rs.1,00,000/- for the offence U/S 124(1) BNS and to undergo rigorous imprisonment for 10 years and pay fine of Rs.20,000/- for the offence U/S 109 BNS.
