Guys - this is the smartest post a politician has ever made about gambling. I’m an industry veteran of 26 years - let me say this. High taxes result in a low RTP which is an another word for a lower chance to win. Companies can’t afford the tax so they turn down the number of wins a user experiences and take higher margjns just to feed the government. The smartest way to approach the industry is to remove the tax from bets and enforce a minimum payout. So for example slot machines have to pay higher than 95%. In the UK some run in the 80’s. Tax the industry on net instead of gross allowing them to give more bonus to customers also. Folks don’t realize when an operator gives you $10 bonus the UK takes $2 of that even though it’s free money! Tax on ngr - run it at 7.5% of net. Enforce higher payouts on slots and watch thr industry flourish. More players having better experiences, less problem gambling, less sucking money from the ecosystem. I might even take a license back home! (I left due to the high taxes )
