But karma is a bitch, and the bitch was on my side this time, because eventually, everything made sense.

Handy saved me a ridiculous amount of typing over the past day. I can pretty much do brainstorming sessions completely freehand now: just talk, let Handy capture it, then organize everything in Obsidian. Tip: bind Handy’s activation key to a remote button — even your phone — for true couch mode. I’m using it with NVIDIA’s parakeet-unified-en-0.6b incredibly fast and accurate model, near real-time. Really like how all these small building blocks are being shipped and can just be combined into your own workflow. And yes, this post was dictated with Handy. handy.computer/

In my career, compilers have always generated better code that I ever could have. I find this to be increasingly so with contemporary AIs. But you know what neither can do better than me? Knowing what software to write, what shape it should take, and what I want it to do. The entire history of software engineering has been one of rising levels of abstraction. This is how it was, how it is now, and how it shall be in the fullness of time.

Everyone tries to change other people but wants to be accepted as they are. When really, you should try to change yourself and accept other people as they are.

I am a sucker for good books, and so especially O'Reilly books. Here's one that is WIP, but in return, it is free, thanks to @AntithesisHQ It's for CTOs / eng leaders who want to get AI to deliver *business value* which is... tricky. Get it here: pages.antithesis.com/oreilly…

Sounds like expectation, AI can enumerate possibilities faster than humans.
Hot Take: AI written code has less security holes than human written code.
