LLM's are popular because many programmers don't have any confidence in their own abilities. They are always looking for ways to offload their responsibilities, which of-course makes them less skilled over time and sustains the cycle of incompetence.

What I like about not using LLM-based tools is writing code is so tedious you are looking for solutions to write less code or no code at all and you usually find them. Which improves your project dramatically in a longer run.

Incredible how gaming on Linux have evolved in the last 10 years. From having to figure out exact Wine toggles to it being out of the box with Proton. We take a lot of it for granted, but honestly huge thanks to everybody involved with Wine, and thanks to Valve of course, for supporting and directly bankrolling a lot of it!

Ctrl+C just never works consistently anymore. I just realized that I now default to pressing the combo multiple times, and still don't trust that it'll actually work.

If you’re a horror game dev and you want me to post about your game either with a trailer or a couple of screenshots, just shoot me a DM. For free. No keys. No questions asked. Not even getting paid by X/Twitter. Doing it for the love of the game. I used to do this a lot before all the new opportunists showed up, but I kinda stopped due to work and other responsibilities. However, since there seem to be a lot of shady actors out there, I think it’s time I come back and do whatever I can for the horror niche once more. I’ll do it for free. No keys, no payments, I’m not even a part of the new creator program here. Literally doing it for my love of horror as I’ve done since the beginning. I just wanna use my reach for good. ✅ Shoot me a DM. Full confidentiality if you aren’t ready to share it with public but just wanna show it to me. ✅ But know that I’m VERY selective. I’ll tell you if your game or trailer doesn’t look interesting enough and I’ll try to give you pointers. ✅ I won’t feature gen-AI and I’ll blacklist you forever if you try to deceive me. ✅ I also have a job so you might get a response with a slight delay. I’m a busy guy with plenty of burnout. So go ahead, send me a DM, and let’s get some eyes on your game. Real eyes plucked right out of their sockets. Stay groovy.

The architecture of the modern web is baffling, especially when you look at the wire formats and realize that they're all plaintext. Basically 0 benefits other than it's a *little* easier to display ascii than it is to make a debug UI for a binary format.
JSON is incredibly inefficient as a means of storing data, using a couple orders of magnitude (100x) more space than actually needed, which means you pay that price in storage, bandwidth, and slower cache level even before you’ve factored in the parsing execution required.

Imagine all the bandwidth, electricity and CPU cycles that have been (and still are) wasted just so we can have HTTP, HTML, CSS, JS and JSON fly over the wire in text format. Why did we go this route? Why haven't we fixed it in the last few decades?
