coming out as a lily potter defender i don’t think using potter means u “reduce her” harry's mom/james' wife any more than using evans “reduces her” to mr evans' daughter. she is both an evans and a potter! one is on her birth certificate and one is on her grave. both are her 🫶🏻

i think it’s so telling about harry’s character when he meets draco for the first time and is repulsed. even before knowing anything about magic, he only saw another version of dudley dursley. draco was mocking hagrid and bragging about status, and harry refused to tolerate it.
