just tried the codex dot and it’s nothing special i really thought openai would do this whole bot thing better than anyone else not sure what hiring peter has achieved the customization is pretty boring and limited too, didn’t feel good/polished it’s also slow and calling your dot doesn’t work half the time hope openai will feel the pressure and start innovating again in the coming months the codex app is becoming a big pile of mess, it’s overwhelming, dots should have been a separate app ultrafast is basically unusable even on the new $500 plan gpt 6.1 sol is also nowhere near opus 5.5 in terms of output quality and on top of all this our pro plans got nerfed it’s a bad time to be a codex user, i hope they get their act together soon 😔

BREAKING: 🇺🇸 An investigative journalist has just exposed another Trump crime family SCAM Donald Trump’s executive order to change “AI” (Artificial Intelligence) into “SI” (Super Intelligence) was a CRIMINAL SCAM to enrich himself and his Epstein class friends. They pocketed HUNDREDS OF MILLIONS of dollars by buying up and creating tens of thousands of .si web domains in the weeks BEFORE the announcement. Trump used his power as president to force the government and pressure businesses to change their terminology to make him money. This is a CRIME. Everything this scumbag does is a rotten scam. This is the most overtly corrupt presidency in history. [Find a link to the full investigation by investigative journalist Adam Cochran below]

Sometimes we come across dogs and we fear the worst but I think we got to this gorgeous gentle boy, just in time. He'd clearly been hit by a car and also dragged underneath it when two of our team came across him first thing this morning. When I arrived I could clearly see he was still in shock, with his heart pounding and his body and mind in absolute turmoil. Luckily it was only about a 5-minute drive from our little hospital and we were able to get him in, get him treated, and onto the best possible pain relief and medicines. Despite being in so much pain it's unbelievable how nice and gentle he was in terms of his nature. I decided to call him Bruno because that is the meaning of brown in several languages like German. Let's hope we can get him mended, feeling a bit better, and create a better life for this gorgeous boy. Lying at the side of the road, soaked and in agony, will soon become a distant memory for this boy.

No, we understood the first time.
I’ll explain the new Pro 200 plan differently, before I start live tweeting from DevDay on things that are going out! Today we are going to ship a number of things that increase what you can do across the Plus and Pro plans. A lot of compute is online for this increase. As we increase the floor, we are changing the relative difference between plans to be Plus = 1X Pro 100 = 5X Pro 200 = 10X and we are reopening subscriptions for Pro 200 (we had paused it). If you have an existing plan you will keep the 20X multiplier for a bit and also receive a lot of additional credits because we know changes are hard even if it means that everyone will get more in the end.

"Slop" has become a comfort blanket for a cohort of programmers stuck somewhere between anger and bargaining on their way to acceptance. There might be some kicking and screaming, maybe a little crying, but eventually you have to let the blanket go and update your priors.

Trump promised everyone $5000 literally last week.
Democrat socialists love to promise free stuff.    But they never mention who pays for it.
Readers added context they thought people might want to know

If GPT-6 Sol is better and cheaper than GPT-5.6 Sol, why do we still have GPT-5.6 in Chat?
