since we are talking religious dress codes, as a Hindu who does not have this in my culture, tell me why Hindu married women are still veiling themselves in 2026.
I am all for #KarwaChauth debate as long as we are also debating religious dress codes and why most Muslim women and girls in India are still practicing hijab burqa? I will not debate the former while tiptoeing around the latter.
A well-drafted article by Angshuman Choudhury. People whimpering about "a brawl between two ethnic groups" should read this.
The 'conflict' in Manipur is nothing but Hindu Meiteis committing genocide against Kuki tribal Christians and demonising them by labelling them encroachers and invaders, terminology similar to that used by mainland Hindu fascists. It started because of their insecurity.
I'm tired of people calling me Abdul. It's grammatically incomplete in Arabic. It means 'servant of' (Abd al-) and doesn't make sense on its own. You can call me Asad (after Asadullah Khan Ghalib) or Kabir (I like the stretched 'ee' sound). Even Zafar would work. Mir as well.

If she actually really cared about his opinions, she would know that he always talked about unity among the marginalised. You see-liberal feminists like Ruchika would always want to capture discourse. You would never see her amplifying Dalit and Muslim women voices but cry-
Ironically for all the support that Sharjeel has for his brand of religious supremacism, it is because of religious supremacism that he's unjustly incarcerated, albeit a different brand. Just goes on to show how dangerous religious supremacism is, it has no place for minorities, women and the caste marginalised. All brands of religious supremacism must be condemned unequivocally!
