What I find really frustrating about this — besides the fact that it’s just disappointing to still be doing this is 2026 — is that it illustrates how *successful* the smear campaign was. Because Heard’s lawyer is quoting Depp here it’s a quote from the U.K. trial. DEPP referred to what he drank as a “mega pint” & if my memory serves, this relates to the video where Depp smashed & broke things — & I cannot stress enough that property destruction like this is intimidation: which *is* domestic abuse. But because this “mega pint”clip went viral devoid of all that context (thanks to the efforts of the smear campaign) — the context of Depp making fun, in the U.K. trial, of intimidating & abusing Amber Heard — we end up with fuck ass actors like Jensen Ackles making light of abuse which is something — if he understood the context — he likely wouldn’t do.
