Not me suddenly realizing it’s going to be a whole damn decade running my own thing. Wow. I mean WOW 🥹 How did that even happen so fast? Actually scratch that, I know how it did. Might as well start reflecting. And then talk your ears off about it.

“One keyword = one blog post” misses a lot of what buyers need to know. Fill those gaps with content that explains your product, answers objections, and helps Sales and CS have better conversations. Bonus: It gives LLMs more to pull from when answering buyer questions.

The key to training AI tools to “talk” about your product: Be boringly consistent. Same phrasing. Same problem-solution pattern. Everywhere. Boring to you = recognizable to AI. It’s as simple and as challenging as that, period.

LLMs don’t reward storytelling. They reward structure, clarity, specificity.  Clear H2s. Consistent patterns. Each section = one complete idea. Humans scan, LLMs parse. You win both ways 🎉

ChatGPT sends less traffic and converts better. Google sends more traffic and it keeps shrinking. So the move for a store isn't picking one. It's being the answer on both before your competitor finds this tweet.
YES, ChatGPT converts a LOT HIGHER than Google.. YES, Google also does send significantly more traffic right now.. BUT, that traffic has been collapsing from Google outside of branded queries which can often be generated by AI conversations users have anyway!!! AND Google is shifting towards a full AI search experience anyway, so that traffic, unfortunately, isn't going to be there for that much longer anyway. It's not a distraction or a waste of time to try to align your business with what is inevitable and where we are already seeing SIGNIFICANTLY higher levels of buyer trust than traditional search. Plus, good SEO is often good AI SEO anyway, you don't have to sacrifice one for the other, you can grow visibility across the board..

Birthdays on Mondays feel like a scheduling error on the universe’s part. What do you mean I’m supposed to turn a year older AND be a functioning adult on the same day? I’d like to file a complaint.

PSA: Comparison content isn’t about making your product the winner every time. It’s about: • How your product handles specific use cases • Where it falls short • When buyers should choose an alternative That builds buyer trust and gives LLMs useful context to draw from.

Love me a Sunday with absolutely no plot. Just good coffee. A little walk. An unexpectedly good conversation. Maybe some star fishing. Roll credits. Excellent day.

3 easy to-dos to show up in AI search; → Define how you solve [X] for [Y], then use it everywhere. → Mention your product alongside buyer problems so AIs learn the association. → Answer: “How do I…” & “What’s the best way to…” so you’re the cited when buyers ask these Qs.

I have a theory that wandering around a bookstore with no intention of buying anything is a legitimate form of therapy. Of course, the “no intention of buying anything” part rarely works out. Please tell me I’m not alone.

First tweet since 2023. Apparently, I had a lot to say. Just not here. Now, is anybody from the old Twitter gang still here or am I talking to myself? 👀

Do any SaaS companies want an email strategist to train their team in how to strategize, map out and create the emails they need? I'll be in the US in September and October and would love to set up an in-person intensive 1 or 2-day training for you.
