- a direct consequence of that misery. it took about a year or so to get back into drawing from that art block.
about 2 years have passed since i've picked up the pen again, and i couldn't believe how miserable i had been from not being able to draw haha.

the three technos! i don't have enough words for my love to the community's versions of techno. this was sort of a callback to past birthday pieces.
it's a bit melancholic thinking back to his 23rd. i really, wholeheartedly believed he would come back to us 🥹

the 1401 winstreak! this had always been a comfort video to watch, and is one of techno's many record breaking achievements. the people pictured are Jiyn, Susceptance, Defone, Kiyn and Innujin who were featured at the end of that video.

"defeat of dante" - a skyblock tribute! i was debating whether to do blitz or skyblock for this one, but recency bias won out. the armor of the bg ppl is the various dragon armors that exist. its set in the spawn with the bank and auction house right after dante's defeat 🐎

yes there's a certain green thing down there but i fear if i was gonna do a history of the blood god i had to include his takedown of the other pillar of the time.
this was also a revamp of an early art piece i did in 2020 - oh how time flew by...

the whole piece took approximately 40+ hours to finish. i wanted to make something to submit to the documentary before the date closed so many sleepless nights followed🤣
a lot of the art is a ref of prev art i've done!

he created such a diverse community who still persists strongly today with wonderful people all across the world. I’m so grateful to be a part of it and meet everyone through it who made my youth so beautiful.

this piece is not only to commemorate techno’s achievements, but to also celebrate the life he had, that kindness and banter that deserves to be shown to everyone in a hall of fame 🥹
it’s been about 4 years since I’ve drawing techno. in that time I’ve graduated high school and just finished uni, and I’m moving out soon for a job
and with that, I’m as close as ever as I am to techno’s age. it’s so scary that even with all those years, the same grief persists
