This is wild. A Japanese #youtube channel made a video showing how quickly different Japanese television channels broadcast the J-ALERT warning for North Korea's Hwasong-18 launch. EEAAO’s Stephanie Hsu is unfairly getting ignored this awards season. Her character drives much of that narrative, providing a catalyst for the main protagonist’s change. She’s also incredibly talented in the dual, multi-faceted role. Her over Jamie Lee Curtis, hands down.

The word WITH originally meant against, not alongside. This earlier oppositional sense still survives in words like WITHHOLD and WITHSTAND—and in a horse’s WITHERS, between its shoulderblades, which are said to be so named because they push against the saddle or load on its back.
