was thinking about the hoodie I was commissioned for after posting on Hypebeast forums. I screenprinted the pattern in my parent's basement and sewed it all myself 20 years ago and luckily I still have some photos. All because I couldn't afford a BAPE hoodie as a teenager

half the fun is figuring it yourself and in the process, maybe actually learn something about yourself and your style instead of following someone else’s recipe

Padres staff playing elevator music with Milwaukee practicing on the field. The game within the game.
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
The music in the video is the rain version of "Beneath the Mask" from the Persona 5 soundtrack, not elevator music. Padres staff have played Persona tracks at Petco Park all season. x.com/MidwestRindigo… x.com/PadresDigest/s… genius.com/Lyn-beneath-th…

pretty interesting that the category is converging on the same visual grammar almost comically fast too. you’ve got a blob, a face, some “eyes”, you gotta give it some soft geometry, add in some emotions via animations, & of course a very friendly affect.

“What program did you use to justify the text?” “None. I just chose words carefully so that everything lined up on the right hand side. Everything was done with an ASCII editor.” In the late 90s, the author rs1n wrote a 17,000 word guide for Super Metroid and chose all the right words so the right edge lined up perfectly.
