even primogems start looking different under this interpretation. they're described as crystallized hopes and dreams of worlds that once existed
if they're remnants of other possibilities, then using them to obtain characters could quite literally be using the remnants of forgotten possibilities to pull someone free from the fate teyvat assigned them
looking at natlan, its nightsoul system clearly acts as a miniature blueprint of this setup, with ancient names acting as visions and the 7 Tribes as the nations/elements
venti previously mentioned sacrifices and using bodies to create and preserve worlds. the unreconciled stars event established early on that stars contain people's memories and fates
the leaks suggest that to receive an "ancient name," a person must trigger an event mirroring the previous bearer's life, meaning allogenes literally inherit their fate from previous stellar fortuna owners
constellations serve as markers identifying candidates whose human will is strong enough to resist the abyss. when someone receives a Vision, a part of their soul goes into their constellation, restricting their power. i can see how this aligns with teyvat's samsara cycle
and memories of dead allogenes to act as literal "bricks" for the false sky because the khaenri'ah abyssal disaster likely broke that sky, celestia desperately needed a new descender's soul to bind it back together, which perfectly explains why asmoday intercepted the traveler
phanes sustained the firmament using his own sheer will. however, after fighting the abyss manifestation of nibelung during the funerary war, phanes was heavily injured and his control over teyvat slipped
