Your product should not need a separate integration for every agent harness.
So we wrote one contract down and open sourced it. UHP, the Unified Harness Protocol. Apache 2.0.
It gives your product one interface to plug in any agent harness. Tasks, sessions, streaming, files, artifacts, cancellation and errors all go through it.
HarnessRouter Community Edition is one implementation of that protocol, not the definition of it. It runs Codex, Claude Code, Hermes, DeepSeek Harness, and more.

What is harness engineering, and why we don't recommend you build it yourself (if you want to ship fast)
A harness is what makes your app agentic.
Agent = Harness + Model
However, harness engineering is complicated: context, tools, permissions, sandboxes, sessions and artifacts. OpenAI went from the first line of Codex to a launched product in seven weeks.
So instead of doing this, that whole layer is on us. Just plug in the best harnesses and let them make your app agentic, fast.
The world's first unified interface for agent harnesses is now open source. One API connects Codex, Claude Code, Hermes and DeepSeek Harness, and more, on your own box, your keys, your bills.

The spec is open too
