What part of Beatitudes do think Jesus got wrong? Is your read of Matt 5:16 that prayer in school is a "work/deed?" Think Jesus is okay with you praying for immigrants, while trying harder to do deeds making our ‘Christian Nation’ unwelcoming to them?
Don't read @JohnFugelsang's book if you'd rather be a wayward Christian with political power than a trying hard follower of Jesus. Not everybody is capable of that level of introspection. It would be a shame if it entirely crushed your faith rather than repurposed it.
