Today we mourn, grieve and honor
2,977 fellow Americans who were murdered by Islamic terrorists twenty-five years ago.
On that day, as the darkness of evil fell upon our nation, we witnessed something far more powerful: the courage and heroism of firefighters, police officers, port authority workers, passengers, flight attendants, office workers, citizens and soldiers who displayed unyielding devotion, love, bravery and patriotism in the face of the grimmest horrors.
America is blessed with titans who, without a second thought, race upward into smoke and fire, crawl to distant voices through minefields of ash and glass, carry the hurt and the wounded, lift each other from debris and rubble, pray with each other when all seems lost, and give hope to each other at the bleakest hour.
The whole world witnessed the unequaled character, selflessness and strength of America and its people. There is no match for the American spirit.
Today, our hearts turn with deepest sorrow and affection for all those left behind. For the mothers, fathers, sisters, brothers, husbands, wives and children who lost the greatest joy and light in their lives. For them, those empty monuments in manhattan are empty bedrooms and living rooms and holes in their hearts that can never be filled. The depth of their anguish is a testament to the magnificence of the souls we lost and a sacred mandate that we remember them, their dreams, their faces, their stories, and the beauty and grace of their lives forever.
We must never forget.
We will never forget.
Twenty-five years has not dimmed our resolve. It has solidified our determination.
God bless the fallen. God bless the families. God bless the United States of America.

Imagine if the U.S. responded to Pearl Harbor by claiming “Kamikaze means safe travels” and then letting in millions of Japanese pilots who supported the attacks.
Instead, we nuked Japan. Twice. And now they behave.

I used to engage in 9/11 trutherism when I was a kid and all that. But when you grow up and read about the incredible heroism and sacrifice of the people that day and you realize how damaging this stuff is.
Countless everyday people became heroes in the moments that God called to them. They laid down their lives and sacrificed for people they never knew.
This is the audio from Flight 93 as Cpt. Jason M. Dahl and First Officer Ley Roy Homer fought tooth and nail to prevent the highjacking of their plane.
Moments later 40 passengers who didn't know one another before boarding that plane, came together and stormed the cockpit to divert the plane from killing more people that they didn't know and would never meet.
The worst part about this conspiricism is is trivializes this heroism. It turns this tragedy, their lives, their final moments into the punchline of a synical joke.

Fully loaded Boeing 767s have a mass of ~150,000 kg and were flying at ~500 mph when they struck the towers. With some quick math, we can calculate that the planes struck each of the WTC towers with force roughly equivalent to the thrust of the Saturn V rocket at takeoff en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Newton%27…

Very few people ever talk about it, but we live in a society that can’t take anything seriously anymore.
Everything has to be dripping with irony and condescension at all times and it’s honestly just so exhausting and tiresome.
It’s getting to the point where the “transgressive” thing to do is to treat serious things seriously.
Every 9/11 I’m “greeted” with new videos and new “angles” of such an unspeakable tragedy that I am only
left with more sadness and anger. This should’ve destroyed the global left. But it only amplified and empowered them through the likes of retarded neocons like Bush.

This is the last footage before the World Trade Center collapse.
As tragic as 9/11 was, we were all witnesses of what American decency is. An ultimate sacrifice to save the lives of a community. As tragic a loss approximately 3000 is, the death toll was originally estimated in the tens of thousands. Many wonderful Americans sacrificed and lost their lives in saving thousands 25
Years ago. Let us remember and honor our heroes.
RIP to all the wonderful patriots we lost on 9/11 back 25 years ago. We all owe it to them to ensure an event as catastrophic never happens again. Vote republican down the line in November.
