a subscription app with 10% monthly churn isn't really keeping its customers. after 12 months, only 28% of the original subscribers remain. after 24 months, only 8% remain. imagine having to rebuild almost your entire paying user base every year.

a useful exercise for anyone building an app: write down the exact sequence of actions a user takes to solve the problem today. then write down the sequence with your product. if your version has more steps, more decisions, or more uncertainty, you need a very compelling reason for someone to switch.

a launch checklist for anyone shipping their first app: □ test signup on a fresh device □ test every login method □ test password recovery □ verify payment flows □ test cancellations □ check mobile layouts □ add analytics events □ set up error monitoring □ write a privacy policy □ create a support email □ test slow connections □ test with someone who has never seen the app all boring stuff but easily missed

Two weeks ago, we officially failed in SF and had very little time to fix it. We had no idea what to do next, or even where to live. But by simply believing and blindly moving forward, we managed to fix it. We got our first checks, met a lot of amazing people, and made huge progress. Looking back, our first rejection from investors was the best thing that could have happened to us. We're finally launching tomorrow, and from that moment on, we'll show you how we're building a generational company.
We failed in SF! Three months ago we left everything in Kazakhstan to join @jointhebridge and move to SF. We dropped uni, declined a job offer from a unicorn, and with no money bet everything on our dream. The program ends with final pitch to investors. If they say yes, we get $250K. We pitched. They said no. But did we give up and go back to a safe life? FXCK NO! The real game is starting now. 10 days left in SF. Follow to see how two cracked founders from Kazakhstan flip everything upside down.

how is there no actually good alternative to linkedin? it’s genuinely impressive how we’ve built a social network around professional connections and made it so difficult to actually connect with anyone...

app store search is a surprisingly underrated place to discover business ideas. people are literally typing descriptions of problems they want solved!

i genuinely think finding a barber should be as easy as finding a restaurant. except instead of searching by cuisine, you search by the exact haircut you want. that’s the idea behind kalos.

idk but if you're making almost $100 million every year why would you need to sell a $147 discord community..?
$8M a month... A year ago I quit my full time job to go all in on this brand. Safe to say it paid off. Joining @cjfeth's community was the best decision I've ever made. It changed my life. Real brand. Real customers who keep coming back. And I just picked up a Lamborghini to park next to my M4. Both fully paid for by ecom. All in the space of one year. None of this was luck. Right information. Right people around you. Relentless execution. If you're even slightly serious about ecom, this is a no brainer. I've documented my journey and linked the community below 👇 jamesharryecom.com/

i don’t understand how europe expects to compete in tech while continuing to make building and scaling companies more expensive. france’s proposed data tax is a perfect example. and people wonder why europe struggles to produce global tech giants.
