Well there you have it folks
Two things from NASCAR:
1. They looked at the SMT data and Stenhouse, Byron and Custer were all wide open from Turn 3 to the end of the race (none of them lifted to let Larson win, in other words)
2. They say Larson's left-side tires were on the yellow line but never below the yellow line. So they reviewed that and say it's legal.
I’m not trying to be a nutjob race fan here but I really want to see the smt from a lot of cars on that last lap. I was really pulling for Stenhouse there.
My 6 yr old son just looked at me and said “dad has talladega always been this lame? Why are those cars so far ahead.” A difficult conversation to have. I told him in the last 10-15 yrs a bunch of suits made this sport really gay. He cried and now we’re watching football.
Harvick doesn’t get enough shit for this or 2020 Martinsville
Absolute snoozer coming up folks
Talladega chatter from garage area: Hearing Chevy has instructed teams to help Larson. Don’t let him get hung out at end of stages to max potential for stage points. Talking to Toyota CC that may hurt their cars bc so many Chevys up front helps Kyle but also can take stage points away from Toyota drivers. It’s one thing to have a plan it’s another to execute. I expect all Chevy teams to be on Larson’s strategy to maximize the 5’s day. The “Larson effect” w Chevy will be a fascinating one. Will it work? Must see TV! 2pmET NBc #NASCAR
