The Uganda Printing and Publishing Corporation (UPPC), the official Government Printer, has made the E-Gazette freely accessible online, removing cost barriers and making official government publications easier to access.
The Uganda Gazette contains statutory instruments, legal notices, government appointments, registrations and other official communications relied upon by citizens, businesses, legal practitioners, researchers and public institutions.
UPPC Managing Director, Prof. Sudi Nangoli, said the initiative strengthens transparency, accountability and public access to official government information.
The move forms part of UPPC’s 2023–2028 Strategic Plan, which targets digitisation of 80% of the Corporation’s products and systems by 2028. The Corporation has also been digitising historical editions of the Uganda Gazette dating back to 1902.
Members of the public can access the free E-Gazette through the Uganda Printing and Publishing Corporation’s official website by navigating to the Uganda Gazette/E-Gazette section and selecting their preferred edition.
The initiative marks another step in Government’s efforts to expand digital access to public information and improve service delivery. @uppc_uganda

Organised by ARIPO and @WIPO, in collaboration with @URSBHQ, the Symposium focuses on stronger copyright systems, transparent royalties, and fair remuneration for African creators.

Uganda to Host Continental Copyright Symposium
From 19–21 October 2026, Kampala will host the Symposium on Copyright & Related Rights Management at Speke Resort Munyonyo, bringing together copyright experts and stakeholders from 22 ARIPO member states.
Organised by @_ARIPO, in collaboration with the World Intellectual Property Organization @WIPO and @URSBHQ, the symposium will run under the theme “Empowering Creativity: Harnessing IP for Sustainable Development in Africa.”
Speaking at a press briefing earlier today at the Uganda Media Centre, Ag. Registrar General Mr. Mustapher Ntale said the symposium would provide a platform for strengthening copyright administration and improving the economic value derived from creative works.
Discussions will focus on licensing, royalty payments, copyright enforcement, digital piracy, and cross-border cooperation.
