I found the videos at 2:17 a.m. while she was singing in the shower like nothing was wrong.
Her phone was on the nightstand, unlocked from earlier. She always says she has nothing to hide. The folder was buried three levels deep under “Work Docs” → “Old Taxes” → “Receipts 2019.” Password was the day we fought. Ironic.
Inside: 14 videos. All shot in the same hotel room. Same guy. Same angle — her phone propped on the dresser. She wasn’t “sleeping.” She was very much awake.
First video was 11 minutes. She was on top, laughing at something he said. The second one she kept looking at the camera like she wanted proof. The third one she said my name by accident, then laughed and corrected herself. That one broke me.
I didn’t watch all of them. After the fifth I just sat there listening to the shower running. She was singing. Same song she always sings when she’s happy.
I screenshotted the timestamps and the guy’s face, backed up the folder to my email, then put her phone exactly where I found it. When she came out in her towel she asked why I was still awake. I said I couldn’t sleep.
That was 11 days ago. She still doesn’t know I saw them. I’ve been normal. We’ve had sex twice. I’ve smiled in the photos she posts. I’m waiting until I decide what I want to do with the rest of my life.
If you’re the type who needs the “what happened next,” it hasn’t happened yet. Some stories don’t get a clean ending the night you find the vault.
