For those asking about the name change:
I started this “Terps Recruiting” account 11 years ago with the goal of drumming up excitement around Maryland athletics. What started as a fun hobby eventually led to @Jeff_Ermann bringing me on to write for @Terrapins247.
Putting my name and face on the account feels long overdue. Not much else is changing, though. There will still be plenty of Maryland content here.
Appreciate everyone who’s followed along over the years. Go Terps 🐢📈

News—Providence makes a roster add days before its season opener, sources told CBS Sports. Former Maryland/UVA/SDSU F Elijah Saunders had been enrolled + taking online classes at PC. He's now eligible for a fifth year due to an injunction in the California case w/ 70+ plaintiffs.

Wrote about Billy Napier as a potential candidate for Maryland.
Makes sense to explore the JMU pipeline, but Florida tenure was a disaster.
Maryland football coach candidate: Billy Napier has dominated on lower levels, but what about Florida failure? 👇

Arthur Smith and his FedEx money are really intriguing as a fallback option. Georgetown Prep grad, local ties. He’s not my top option, but there are some factors there that could make it work.

SVP on Maryland’s spending, and why a lack of resources no longer explains the losses:
“They spent a ton. That’s the other thing. Like for the longest time, ‘Oh, they don’t have any money. They’re poor.’ They’re not Ohio State and at the top of the food chain, but they’re not at the bottom either.”
