🚨 Zinedine Zidane on Lionel Messi’s farewell: “In this world of football, there’s no player who deserves a farewell like this more than Lionel Messi. Everyone loves him. He doesn’t just play football, he thinks football. For me, he is the God of football. If you want to truly enjoy football, you have to watch Lionel Messi. Pace, dribbling, goalscoring, playmaking, even tracking back — everything in one player. Yes, there are many players who are very good and some who believe they are better than him. But most of them are only exceptional in certain areas, especially goalscoring. Let me tell you why Messi almost never has a bad game. If he doesn’t score, he provides an assist. If he doesn’t assist, he controls the entire game from beginning to end. He always finds a way to influence the match. He has had a complete career like no one else. This will be a sad and unforgettable day for football because we know we won’t see him on the biggest stages again. One of my biggest regrets in my coaching career is never getting the chance to coach Messi. He could have made my job much easier. I played against him as a player, and I will forever cherish those moments.”
