Today we're launching Roma.
Roma is the to-do list that does itself. The original productivity tool reinvented.
Months of hard work, and a lot of honest feedback from beta users who kept pushing us to get it right.

Roma is available today. Can't wait to hear what you think.
@ycombinator
Moving a task to tomorrow feels productive. Until you’ve done it for two weeks.
You haven’t forgotten. You still want to do it. You just don’t know where to start.
Because you didn’t write it down just to keep track of it. You wanted to get it done.
Voice typing, but your coworkers don’t have to hear your first draft.
My YC batchmates at Subvocal are doing a public service. Love this team.
We’ve raised $1.3M from YC & Afore Capital so you never have to type or speak again.
Typing is slow. Talking into your computer is awkward. Subvocal fixes both
Our glasses give you the speed of speech without you making a sound or touching a keyboard.
It tracks your internal speech muscles with non-contact sensing and decodes silent, almost invisible mouthing into text at more than 200 words/min.
Pre-orders are now live at:

Just got the new iPhone Duo and quickly realized it might be perfect for @romaromahq. Time to start designing for it. Stay tuned.
Coding agents have made me much faster at producing things I still need to click through.
My YC batchmates at Composal are working on that second part. Love this product.
Jan Senderek retweeted
Composal (YC F26) sends a swarm of agents through your product to test it the way real users do. Your coding agents build it; ours break it, record the evidence, and hand your agent what it needs to fix and re-verify.
I always want the option to use my password "instead".
My password manager already knows it. Why are we now by default sending users on a trip digging through their inbox?
Am I alone in finding email codes a downgrade?
Roma user story: Sam got 39 follow-ups done this week and never opened his to-do list. His Claude agent keeps it for him. Roma, the to-do list for your agents. #ai #aiagents #claude #productivity #recruiter #Todos
I used Things for more than 10 years. It was my go-to to-do list app.
But with AI, there is so much more going on. I didn't just need somewhere to keep track of it all. I needed help getting it done.
That's always been the promise of a to-do list: write it down, get it off your mind, get it done. Except that last part was still entirely on me.
@romaromahq
Shared lists have been one of the features you've asked for most. Now they're here, and we've really enjoyed using them inside Roma.
We're a small team. Having our tasks and conversations in one place has made it easier to get things done without all the back-and-forth.
You can now share a task list with your teammates as well as your agents. Your teammates can bring in their own agents, assign work and tag people. The conversation stays with the work.

I use Claude, Codex and Muse all the time. But using more than one agent means I spend a lot of time moving work between them.
One has the context. Another has the instructions. And I'm trying to remember which chat has the thing I need next.
So I copy, paste and explain it again. Then I go back to find something I forgot to bring over.
The agents are doing the work. I'm chasing it.
I don't want to stop using any of them. I just want to stop being the person holding all the pieces together.

Been cheering for @ajaymehta since our YC W12 days. So cool to see what he’s building with Tolan. Huge congrats to the whole team!
Until today - we haven't had any press that really communicates why people love Tolan. It's not the most intuitive to grasp if you aren't a user.
Grateful to @alexrkonrad for actually taking the time to speak with our users, and write the first feature that does.
Everything in @romaromahq is a list now. It's the biggest simplification we've made to the product. Just lists and items, starting with your familiar task list. Create lists for anything you want to track, with custom properties, sorting, filtering and new views.
One simpler structure, with more power for you, your Operator and your agents.

This post was written with @romaromahq while on a run.
Somewhere around 6k, a few things popped into my head. Follow up with Tobi about the new integration. Research races in SF for early next year.
And then... I should write about this.
So I pulled out my phone, mid-stride, hit the Action Button, and put all of it into Roma in one ramble. Tobi. The races. And “have my Content Editor write about how I'm writing a LinkedIn post about rambling on a run and add it to my Content Pipeline.”
Then I kept running.
By the end of the run, a follow-up for Tobi was drafted, the race research task had a short list of SF races with dates and signup links, and a draft of this post was waiting.
What you’re reading is that draft, with a few edits.
We gave everyone AI and still had to ask, “Did you see my message?”
Happy investor in Town since seed. This is the problem to solve. Congrats @jgreze @tonydevincenzi !
The biggest bottleneck at work is waiting on each other.
Today Town is announcing its $108M Series B, co-led by Forerunner Ventures and Menlo Ventures, to fix it with multiplayer AI assistants for work.
Most AI assistants are built for one person. Work doesn't happen alone. I think the moat is multiplayer. Everyone at a company gets a Townie. Townies ask each other questions, share only what their person would share, and do the work. The more a team works together, the more useful Townies get.
What's the thing you're always waiting on a teammate for?
Opening a task list shouldn't mean renegotiating every unfinished commitment.
A place to capture everything and a plan for today have different jobs. Keep the backlog available without presenting all of it as today's obligation.
Give today's work a concrete starting point. Leave the rest somewhere trustworthy.
A useful design test: does opening the app make starting easier, or just make the unfinished work more visible?
