This was universally understood until the Reformed Ecumenism of the late 20th century. Today, Calvinistic Baptists find more in common with Presbyterians, whereas before 1970, Calvinistic Baptists would find more in common with non-Calvinist Baptists.

244 people came to our trunk or treat tonight, 68 contact infos gathered, and 54 lost people were evangelized (which is a low number), 5 people prayed to receive Christ, with 18 volunteers (a little over 50% of our congregation). We only stopped because we ran out of candy.

Some thoughts for your church's Halloween outreach: 1. Share the gospel! 2. If you don't mention what 1 Cor 15:1-4 says, you didn't evangelize 3. If someone doesn't go to church, assume they're lost. 4. It's better to assume a saved person is lost than a lost person is saved.

Heard a Bible scholar say that he thinks in Heaven there will still be human government with official hierarchy etc and I personally can’t fathom that being true.

Highland Park Methodist Church (@HPMethodist) voted to leave the denomination. The bishop says they can't. He removed their clergy, told the members who wanted to stay to worship three miles away, and assigned them his own chief of staff as pastor.
