Beater of Insolent Rookie Ass. Since we're sharing Ovechkin memories, here's my favorite. Ovechkin was already a legend in 2019 and a future HOFer and people knew the career goals record was on the table. He's not a fighter at all. He hadn't fought since 2010. Then this insolent ROOKIE starts slashing him and drops the gloves. Ovechkin honestly looks BAFFLED. (i) Who is this kid? (ii) Why is he trying to fight me? (iii) Does he not know who I am? Ovechkin knocked him the f*ck out. He missed the next four games. All hail the greatest goal scorer and Beater of Insolent Rookie Ass of all time.
