🚭 Tobacco & nicotine products are evolving – but so are our champions.
Today in #Brussels, I was proud to present the 2025 World No Tobacco Day Award to 5 exceptional individuals from the WHO European Region – for their leadership in advancing tobacco control & protecting youth from industry harms:
🇧🇪 Frank Vandenbroucke, Deputy PM & Health Minister, Belgium
🇦🇲 @LNanushyan, First Deputy Health Minister, Armenia
🇦🇹 Franz Pietsch, former Head of Directorate, Health Ministry, Austria
🇬🇷 @VardavasC, Professor, Nat’l & Kapodistrian Univ. of Athens
🇺🇿 Shukhrat Shukurov, Health Ministry Expert, Uzbekistan
Their efforts are shaping a tobacco-free future & inspiring action to protect people, especially youth.
