False accusations of assault & harassment hurt the accused AND actual victims. The lack of protests & limited coverage of MIT's abhorrent handling of @DMSabatini's case proves that too many people believe false accusations don't matter. That belief is cruel & supports harassment.

It pains a lot of MIT people, too, who are horrified that colleague got skewered with the blessing and help of the administration - scary beyond belief, and we have so much sympathy for you. At another level: senior women who never bought into the narrative that women have no agency, that we are just victims of men, and should spend our time making mountains out of every molehill - including those we create ourselves - these women are very frustrated that our voices are silenced or worse. This whole situation sets women back. Ugh.
Until we start seeing consequences that are at least equal to the destruction caused by those who push false accusations, this will keep happening -- and real victims will continue to have difficulty speaking up.
Absolutely loving the autumnal feel of CHASING THE HEADLESS HORSEMAN, the latest book by one of my favorite authors. As a nerd for travelogues that combine history and legend, this is right up the spooky covered bridge to my heart. ππ₯π»
Joined my son & his friend to see LINKIN PARK: UNSHATTER in ScreenX (it wrapped around 3 walls of the theater). It was phenomenal! The concert footage was great & it was beautiful to watch the band support each other, figuring out how to continue after a founding member's death.
Taking the two biggest LP fans I know (my 15yo son and his friend) to see UNSHATTER this evening. Can't wait!!!

It's my 51st birthday! Every year, though it sounds a bit morbid, I look into which famous people never reached my age. What more would they have created or experienced? 51 may not sound young to me, but I feel young and there's so much to create and experience, so bring it on!
At last night's book signing, a reader showed me a project she did as a high school senior, recording THIRTEEN REASONS WHY onto audio cassettes and putting them in a shoebox (like in the book) along with her report. So cool!
