The reason we get away when we teach anything outside of Christ is because we have spiritual authority.
Elisha called bears out of the forest to kill children who mocked him. That has nothing to do with God, he had spiritual authority and exercised it in that direction. God didn’t kill him for it. It’s the frailty that comes with the human nature.
Exercising our spiritual authority outside of Christ and it brings results does not mean God approves it. His gifts are without repentance.
We teach things outside of Christ and it brings results does not mean God approves it.
Christ is the only theology and message.
Christ is the study.
And no, Africa is not peculiar, people have just developed taste for everything mysterious.
Andrew Womack may not know what he has done for future generations.
Taught Christ Centered messages for over 50 years.
He rose from a low estate to a global minister.
The ministry is global,
Walk in miracles, signs and wonders.
When his son came back from the dead in the morgue, he wasn’t even praying, he picked up his wife and they were worshiping God on their way to pick up their son’s body, they weren’t praising because of a miracle, they were praising because that is the life of Christ they must live even in the most heartbreaking circumstance.
They walked out of the morgue with their son alive after being confirmed clinically dead earlier by the doctors.
He taught Christ alone and prospered in it.
They have global missions with Bible camps all over the world.
Great properties all over each continent of the world.
Their own TV station et al.
The members grew into prosperity with him.
He prophesies, heals, cast out demons, win souls, and growing into the fullness of God everyday.
He has never seen one angel in his life, may be he’s seen one and I missed it.
He’s giving the Body of Christ beyond a proof of concept.
He’s shown us that in Christ is the fullness of God and focusing on Him, we have all things.
Enough of these dimensions, portals, realms for God’s sake.
And enough of our sense of superiority of exporting the gospel.
Thanks for sharing, sir. I'm kinda surprised why anyone will refute Paul's letters or revelation. It is Christ and nothing or no one else!
This will be long.
Ephesians 1-3 is probably the most important book about the kingdom itself. The Kingdom is Christ, and no Kingdom is outside Christ. And no one was able to communicate the kingdom the way Paul did in Ephesians 1-3.
So, Myles Munroe was more of a Kingdom influence pastor; go into the world and do this and that. Influence the culture. Take over systems, shape the world - that’s probably where his takes are coming from. Myles set the basis and principles of engaging the world, which is prominent in certain Christian circles today. It is the reason you find Pastors like Pastor Kunle Soriyan make certain statements that many Christians find disturbing.
So, you also find songs like 'I have decided to Follow Jesus' by Gaise Baba.
Now, if we go back to all the parables of the Kingdom, those are the forte of Myles Munroe, and where he developed his kingdom concept of shaping and influencing the world. In fact, he started shaping the constitution of countries; I think Somaliland (can’t remember properly) consulted him to shape their constitution after God’s principles. They were on the project before his accident. So, Somaliland ran to Israel (however, there is a political undertone to this too).
This is the most critical point in Christendom because Paul didn’t go about telling people to be great business leaders, be innovators, be inventors, etc. Jesus said you are the salt and light of the world, also a city set on the hill that cannot be hidden.
Paul believed the Gospel is solely Christ and focused entirely on Him. It’s the reason he was also not overly emphatic about giving, kingdom advancement, prospering, building systems, etc., and pastors like Myles Munroe believed the parables of the kingdom as told by Jesus centered on those things…
However, they miss an important aspect of Paul’s ministry and that was Aquila and Priscilla. Both of them were great business leaders but also great missionaries.
In our attempt to be a blessing to the world, we’ve become shallow believers, such that we are overly obsessed with money and created a new ministry for ourselves, “Kingdom Financiers”.
''I am called to be a kingdom financier", we hear this everytime.
So, we talk about 7 mountains of influence, etc.
This is the reason we see ministers start the gospel based on Christ and as they grow and see the needs of people, they pivot to another thing entirely and start carving identities outside of Christ to mentally ascertuate the people to produce certain realities in their lives that they feel. I have spoken about this a few times and say that no identity must be carved outside of Christ under any circumstance because in Christ, we have been given all that pertain to life and Godliness. It's the reason I wrote about Andrew Wommack a few days ago. He seems to be the only minister to teach Christ from a small congregation to global ministry with thousands of members across the world with successful people from every walk of life without carving any identity for the people outside of Jesus Christ for them. No need for dimensions, portals, realms, the seed of this and that.. etc.
The point is not to be influential or purposeful in the world, the point is driving another identity into Christians in a bid to influence the world.
I believe Aquila and Priscila, whom Paul also managed, are key to answering this; this is my study on them:
Aquila was a Jewish native of Pontus (a province in northern Asia Minor along the Black Sea), while his wife Priscilla is frequently designated in Paul’s epistles by her formal Roman name, Prisca.
The couple originally established a successful business in Rome. However, around AD 49, Emperor Claudius issued an imperial edict expelling all Jews from the capital. Roman historian Suetonius records this event in De Vita Caesarum (Life of Claudius 25.4), noting that Claudius "expelled from Rome the Jews who were constantly making disturbances at the instigation of Chrestus" (a common Roman misspelling of Christus).
This extra-biblical account aligns with Acts 18:2, explaining how a sudden geopolitical crisis forced Aquila and Priscilla to relocate their business from Rome to Corinth, where they met the Apostle Paul.
In Acts 18:3, Luke records that Paul stayed and worked with Aquila and Priscilla because "they were tentmakers [skēnopoioi] by trade."
The Scope of the Enterprise: In the 1st-century Greco-Roman economy, a skēnopoios was not merely a canvas stitcher, but a skilled artisan working with heavy leather, woven goat hair (cilicium), and textiles to produce military gear, commercial awnings, maritime sails, and travel tents.
Marketplace Agility: Their trade required supply chain management, raw material procurement, and client negotiation. It was portable and resilient, allowing them to establish prosperous commercial hubs across three major imperial cities: Rome, Corinth, and Ephesus.
Financial Independence: By maintaining a profitable business, they self-funded their missionary journeys and provided financial protection for Paul, shielding his ministry from accusations of seeking financial gain from converts (1 Corinthians 9:15–18).
Despite their entrepreneurship prowess, they were vast in Christ and His theology.
In Acts 18:24–26, a brilliant Jewish orator from Alexandria named Apollos arrived in Ephesus. Though eloquent and mighty in the Old Testament Scriptures, his understanding of Christian baptism was incomplete, stopping at the baptism of John.
When Aquila and Priscilla heard him speaking boldly in the synagogue, they demonstrated remarkable spiritual discernment and grace:
Private Correction: Instead of publicly debating or humiliating him, they invited Apollos into their home.
Theological Depth: They "explained to him the way of God more accurately" (akribesteron). As lay entrepreneurs, their grasp of Christian doctrine was sophisticated enough to instruct and mentor one of the premier scholars of the early church.
Aquila and Priscilla converted their personal residences into strategic mission headquarters:
Ecclesial Hubs: They hosted vibrant house-churches in Corinth (1 Corinthians 16:19), Ephesus, and later upon their return to Rome (Romans 16:3–5).
Self-Sacrificial Courage: In Romans 16:3–4, Paul writes: "Greet Prisca and Aquila, my fellow workers in Christ Jesus, who risked their own necks for my life, to whom not only I give thanks but also all the churches of the Gentiles." They put their lives and social standing on the line to shield the apostolic movement during times of violent persecution.
This is my conclusion:
The purpose of God is to bring men into Christ, make them become Christ experientially, as we minister Christ to the world.
This is the purpose of every believer: receive Christ, become Christ experientially and manifest His life (this includes all the gifts of the Spirit). Be productive in the world and solve problems, but your influence is used to minister Christ to men. No one will do it in that field except you. You are a minister of Christ not called to reveal a dimension of God. You are to reveal Christ. So, if you are a career diplomat, for example, you should be able to teach Christ, manifest His Life, bring people in your place of influence into Him and also fund the gospel. In revealing Christ, you are meant to intercede too, who will intercede for people in your place of influence or estate if not you? Your sole purpose in Life is Christ, the secular reality is a means to an end, and the end is Christ. Pauline Epistles captured all these but they don't know.
My view.
So unfunnily 😁 asking 1000 ways to sit
Charges dropped against a woman whose husband suffocated on her br£ast after a medical examination found no physical injuries indicating a struggle.
Prosecutors dropped negligent homicide charges against Marlene Voss, a 44-year-old woman from Akron, Ohio, after investigators determined her husband's death was a tragic accident.
Her husband, 52-year-old Harold Voss, d+£d from accidental positional asphyxiation after suffocating under her br£astwhile the couple slept in their home.
Marlene Voss explained that she awoke to find her husband unresponsive beside her, with his head partially underneath one of her breasts
Following her arrest, an autopsy was conducted to ascertain the cause of de@th but medical examiners ruled that the d£ath was a tragic accident caused by positional asphyxia, noting there were no signs of a struggle or foul play.
Prosecutors determined the physical evidence did not support a criminal case and dismissed the negligent homicide charge against Marlene Voss. Neighbors also corroborated that the couple was loving and had no history of domestic discord.
This is powerful and enlightening!
10 PSYCHOLOGICAL CONCEPTS YOU SHOULD KNOW
1. THE PARADOX OF CHOICE
This is what happens when having too many options makes it difficult for you to make a decision. Instead of making things easier, too many choices can leave you confused, overwhelmed and less satisfied with whatever you eventually choose.
Example: You want to buy a phone, but after comparing 10 different models, you become confused about which one to buy. Even after making a choice, you keep wondering whether you should have bought another model.
2. THE BANDWAGON EFFECT
This is the tendency to adopt a belief, opinion or behaviour simply because many other people are doing the same thing.
Example: Someone believes that women over 30 are “expired products” not because they genuinely hold that opinion, but because most guys on X share the same view.
3. HOARDING BEHAVIOUR
This is when someone accumulates possessions and finds it difficult to discard them, even when they are no longer useful. Sometimes, it is driven by emotional attachment or the fear of needing those things in the future.
Example: Someone keeps broken electronics, old clothes and empty containers for years because they keep thinking, "What if I need them someday?" Even when they can afford replacements, throwing these things away feels wasteful.
4. SCARCITY MINDSET
This is a way of thinking shaped by the fear that you will never have enough money, time or resources. Interestingly, this mindset can persist even after your financial situation improves.
Example: Someone who grew up in poverty becomes financially comfortable but still feels guilty whenever they spend money on themselves. They keep saving excessively because they are afraid of returning to the days when they had nothing.
5. NORMALCY BIAS
This is the tendency to underestimate the possibility or seriousness of a dangerous situation because we assume things will continue as they normally do.
Example: People living in Port Harcourt receive warnings about an approaching flood but refuse to evacuate because they have lived in the area for years without experiencing anything that serious. They assume things will remain the same until it is too late.
6. THE DUNNING-KRUGER EFFECT
This describes how people with limited knowledge or competence in a particular area may overestimate their abilities because they lack the knowledge needed to recognise their own shortcomings.
Example: Someone watches a few videos about investing and suddenly believes they understand the stock market better than experienced investors. They dismiss professional advice because they don't realise how much they don't know.
7. THE OSTRICH EFFECT
This is the tendency to avoid information that could reveal an unpleasant reality because we would rather not deal with the discomfort it might bring.
Example: An X user notices that his posts are performing poorly but refuses to check his account analytics because he is afraid of discovering just how bad the situation has become.
8. CONFIRMATION BIAS
This is the tendency to look for, interpret and remember information that supports what we already believe while ignoring or dismissing evidence that contradicts us.
Example: Someone believes that a particular ethnic group is dishonest. They remember every story involving a dishonest person from that group but conveniently ignore similar incidents involving people from other ethnic groups.
9. MORAL LICENSING
This happens when people use their previous good deeds or moral achievements to justify behaviour that would otherwise contradict their values.
Example: Someone donates money to charity and then feels justified in cheating a customer, reasoning that they are still a good person because they have helped others.
10. THE ENDOWMENT EFFECT
This is the tendency to value something more simply because we own it.
Example: Someone insists that his or her X account is worth more than 10 million naira because they are emotionally attached to it. 😂
This is so enlightening!
SOME PSYCHOLOGICAL, SOCIAL AND BEHAVIOURAL CONCEPTS YOU SHOULD KNOW
1. STOCKHOLM SYNDROME: A term used to describe situations where hostages or abuse victims develop positive feelings towards their captors or abusers. Example: A hostage begins defending their captor and opposing people trying to rescue them.
2. ZERO-SUM GAME: A situation where one person's gain is exactly equal to another person's loss. Example: Two friends apply for the same job, but only one person will be employed. In this situation, one person's gain is indeed the other's loss.
3. COGNITIVE DISSONANCE: The mental discomfort that occurs when your actions contradict your beliefs, often leading you to justify your behaviour rather than admit you are wrong. Example: Someone who believes lying is wrong gets caught lying and starts explaining why their own lie was justified.
4. THE JUST-WORLD FALLACY: The belief that people generally get what they deserve. Example: Someone loses their job and struggles to feed their family, and instead of acknowledging that bad things can happen to anyone, people conclude that they must have been lazy or irresponsible. They assume that because someone is suffering, they must have done something to deserve it.
5. LEARNED HELPLESSNESS: When repeated experiences of having no control over a situation lead someone to stop trying to change it, even when opportunities become available. Example: An employee who has repeatedly been ignored when reporting workplace problems eventually stops speaking up, even when a new manager is willing to listen.
6. THE PRISONER'S DILEMMA: A game theory scenario in which two people acting in their individual interests may end up worse off than if they had cooperated. Example: Two competing businesses keep slashing their prices to outdo each other until neither makes a reasonable profit, even though both would have benefited from avoiding the price war.
7. THE BYSTANDER EFFECT: The tendency for people to be less likely to intervene in an emergency when others are present. Example: A passenger collapses in a crowded bus, but everyone waits for someone else to help, assuming another person will take responsibility.
8. THE HEDONIC TREADMILL: The tendency to get used to the things that once made us happy, causing their excitement to fade as they become part of our everyday lives. Example: Someone spends years working towards owning their dream car. When they finally buy it, they are overjoyed, but a few months later, the excitement wears off, and they start wanting a better car. They forget that what they now take for granted was once what they prayed and worked so hard to achieve.
9. PLURALISTIC IGNORANCE: When people privately disagree with something but assume everyone else supports it, so they publicly conform. Example: Everyone in a meeting thinks a proposal is terrible, but nobody objects because each person assumes the others support it.
10 THE MATTHEW EFFECT: The tendency for people who already have advantages to accumulate even more advantages. Example: Two equally talented graduates apply for jobs, but one gets more opportunities because they attended a prestigious university and already have influential connections.
11. THE EINSTELLUNG EFFECT: When a familiar way of solving a problem prevents us from recognising a better solution. Example: A business owner keeps using an outdated system because it is what they have always used, even though a simpler and cheaper alternative is available.
12. THE HALO EFFECT: When one positive quality makes us assume someone possesses other positive qualities. Example:People assume an attractive, well-dressed person is intelligent and trustworthy without having any evidence of either.
See manipulation!
Something funny happened in church today.
Our pastor announced that anyone who wanted special prayer should write their request and drop it with an offering.
A woman came out and dropped ₦5,000 and wrote that she needed a job.
After service, the pastor’s wife called her aside and told her that ₦5,000 was too small for the kind of prayer she was asking for.
She said serious breakthroughs require serious seeds.
A farmer, tired of rats destroying his crops and stealing his grain, came up with a clever but cruel plan. He threw a dead pig into a deep, abandoned well. Attracted by the smell, nearly 80 rats rushed into the well to feast on the carcass. At first, everything seemed wonderful..
Before you turn against your neighbor because of their political beliefs, ask yourself who benefits from keeping Nigerians divided. While we fight each other over politicians, we may be overlooking those who profit from the conflict....
Amen
Say this prayer:
