Turbopuffer is on a tear! Matching Lucene (e.g. Elasticsearch) on FTS latency. They’ll match on search features soon, too.
Insane ROI for startups: rock sold and affordable, no sharding or cluster management nightmares. My favorite piece of infra at Limitless.
Oh yeah, they were the first vendor to congratulate us on the Meta acquisition. Truly an exemplary company all around. Congrats @Sirupsen and team on such a successful year.
nitter.cf/sirupsen/status/200167…
An incredible year for turbopuffer is closing. We now manage trillions of vectors and tens of petabytes. We’ve puffed up revenue 10x and headcount 5x.
We’ve helped Anthropic, Cursor, Notion and others connect every petabyte to AI to ship the most ambitious version of their product.
This week we doubled down with Lachy Groom and added Thrive Capital to the team. They have both proven themselves repeatedly to us over the past 2 years.
In 2025, we’ve proved the puffer architecture is capable of state-of-the-art vector and text search. Next year, we’ll continue to optimize the core and widen our surface area, to make it effortless to search every byte.

I'm excited to share that Limitless has been acquired by Meta! Here’s why we joined forces, what this means for customers, and what comes next.
Yesterday:
Company → Singular Product Experience
Today:
Company + Prompts + LLMs → Singular AI Product Experience
Tomorrow:
Company + Prompts + LLMs + Personal Context → Unique Per-User AI Product Experiences
when you get access to gpt-5, try a message like "use beatbot to make a sick beat to celebrate gpt-5".
it's a nice preview of what we think this will be like as AI starts to generate its own UX and interfaces get more dynamic.
it's cool that you can interact with the synthesizer directly or ask chatgpt to make changes!
It’s incredibly energizing to see people fall in love with the @LimitlessAI Pendant! It means the world to hear how much everyone appreciates the high-quality, frictionless experience we worked so hard to create.

@dsiroker @LimitlessAI the pendant is some of the best tech i have ever bought in my entire life. this thing is as game changing as a computer for me. not even exaggerating. the value i’ve gotten out of this thing in the first 2 days is bonkers. some examples… (1/5)

Had my first wow moment with the @LimitlessAI pendant.
My daughter had an uncommon allergic reaction to a virus. While rushing to the store and calling the doctor—completely agitated—I almost grabbed the wrong version of her medicine.
Thankfully, with my pendant on and the doctor on speaker, the app surfaced the exact meds and correct dosage I needed—confirming the regular version, not the Plus.
Thx @dsiroker & team

hey everyone!
been a while.
6-months actually...
i took a one-way flight out of sf with no plan.
didn't know if i'd ever even come back.
ended up spending time in some of the most peaceful places on the entire planet.
from the villages of morocco to the remote forests of the czech republic to the peaceful outskirts of islamabad.
i listened to the beatles a lot
spent most days doing nothing
met some wise people on the road!
it was really, really cool.
but...you don't just get on a plane and have your problems disappear (would be nice)
when the company ended there was an overflow support from fans, friends, and investors:
"it was a good run. you gave it your best"
but of course, you are always your worst critic.
for the majority of my travels i just felt sad, tired, confused, everything at once.
i felt like a flop. like maybe i really did burn out. maybe this was really it. maybe the story ends here.
i think what freaked me most was the thought that i’d never feel that love building stuff ever again. as if this spark i'd had since i was 13 was just gone forever.
that was the worst.
but, i think time just did what time does.
as of today
i feel happier than ever.
and more excited than ever.
i feel like while on the road, i found that light again.
i feel like that kid within me, the kid that see's the world as brand new and just wants to make cool things...i feel like i found him again.
it was a journey. one day i’ll tell the whole story.
(and no, i did not take acid lol)
as of now i'm back in sf, i live 5m away from the office, and i'm just falling in love with making things again.
i really feel 13 again.
and, i feel like i'm ready to build something really fucking cool again. i’m not done yet.
thank you to everyone reading this who still cares. it means a lot.
and, thank you to the thousands of you who messaged me and tagged me over the last 6-mo checking in on me or just sending a note of appreciation.
even though i didn't have it in me to reply... it meant more than you'll ever know!
p.s: im actively hacking on new ideas everyday. if you're in sf and maybe wanna work together, hmu! we can meet up.

Design meetings become focused on smaller and more incremental changes as you move later into the hardware development process
As the pendant prepares for the final stages of Design Verification Test (DVT), we are doing things like dialing in the right shade of gray and black (literally!) and adjusting the button height by a tenth of a millimeter for the best feel
Maybe I’m a little OCD but this is my favorite phase of the process because it’s where the rubber meets the road
Hardware startups live and die by their ability to connect their original design vision with a manufacturable final product. The decisions made in DVT can add or remove cost, impact production rate, control aesthetics, and everything else associated with the quality of the final product that customers will live with for years to come

Congrats to our entire team for achieving this incredible milestone! Special thank you to our head of hardware, @coffeewithjer, and our CTO, @jayhickey, for their incredible leadership!
We still have a lot of work to do! Let’s go!
We just delivered the first @LimitlessAI pendant!
The waitlist is massive but we are working hard to scale production to meet demand.
I will post weekly updates on our progress so follow @dsiroker to come along for the ride!
We’re building so many exciting things, join us and be at the center of AI software and hardware!
We just opened up some new roles at @LimitlessAI, including Head of Engineering and SWE roles (firmware, FE, systems BE, generalist)
At Limitless we're building personalized AI powered by what you've seen, said, or heard - and we're doing that with software and hardware.
LLMs continue to get better at reasoning but they lack the detailed personal context to help you throughout your day. We use the best LLMs paired with your context in our confidential cloud to deliver on that vision.
One of the best perks of working at Limitless is getting a front row seat to working with @dsiroker. I could write a @paulg style essay on Dan, who previously co-founded and lead Optimizely to hundreds of employees.
He knows how to build and inspire healthy teams, encourage crazy ideas we actually execute on (pendant!), foster a culture of being decisive and relentlessly resourceful so there's no time wasted waiting for meetings and decisions.
You'll be joining a team of ~20 to do the best work of your career. What you see on our site today is just the tip of the iceberg.
