Here's another thing I probably won't do, but should. Been thinking about launching a podcast called "I love that!" Just bring people on to talk about one thing they're really into. Could be an object, something they read, a person they know, an act of kindness they witnessed, a product, a sentence that struck and stuck, an oak leaf turning that perfect shade of orange-yellow in October... Whatever it is. But it's all about loving something. No buts, no conditions, no exceptions. Just simple admiration for that thing that's part of their world. Forever, just for a moment, doesn't matter - if you say "I love that!" about something, we should talk about it.

Cubs are in the middle of the 1st inning of an elimination game and I just want to come up for air for one second to say this is the greatest content development in the history of the internet. I know, playoff baseball. But this boutique hotel is 🔥🔥🔥🔥

Sneak peek at a new video game console I've been working on. You can speak to it, and... it makes a game. Fun!

Magnifica Humanitas is a gem. Proud of my church and Pope for holding the line on this one. Chicago, man. We make some good ones :)
Note well, apparently Anthropic tried very hard to get the Vatican to alter the text of "Magnifica Humanitas" just prior to its release so that it would not deny AI personhood.

I've been cycling for a little over five years now, and it's honestly changed my life. The area we live in is just so great for it, too.

Fun idea!
Duo-Man offers the complete walkman experience on the iPhone Duo. Open the Duo to pick and 'insert' the cassette, Close the Duo to start listening. Yes, I actually recorded the button clicks and static noise from a real Walkman! It was fun making this at @bitrig hacks today.

Absolutely right.
This idea that "everyone is a builder now" and therefore all specific roles are out the window is over-blurring. Roles follow from differences in what we can see and judge. When one person doesn't have every single kind of judgement necessary, you are back to teamwork.

Technological progress is never simply a technical matter. Every technology reflects, whether explicitly or implicitly, a particular understanding of the human person, of society, and of the future we wish to build. Scientific and technological advancement must therefore be accompanied by a corresponding growth in responsibility. The greater our power to transform the world, the greater must be our capacity to discern what truly serves God-given human dignity, to govern wisely, and to care for those who may bear the greatest consequences of our choices. vatican.va/content/leo-xiv/e…

Lazy work used to mean too little output. Now, with AI, it often means too much and more work for everyone else. @tobi call it "slop grenades." A "Slop Grenade" is when you let AI produce the work and pass it on without adding any value (including checking it). Someone else has to wade through it, catch the mistakes, and clean up the mess. You save time and look productive but someone else pays for it.

OpenAI's own research says 80% of US GDP could be automated by agents today. The measure of your intelligence is not your ability to acquire knowledge but how you handle uncertainty and navigate through it and behave when you don't know what to do.

This is the big chance for Linux. The desktop is up for grabs in a way it hasn’t been in decades. The agents have made the OS malleable. So the Omacom Foundation is accelerating its spending goals. Everything raised this year will be spent over the next 3. omarchy.org/news/2026/09/oma…
