A sad day for the world of film, television and theatre as we say farewell to the legendary Sir Patrick Stewart.
From Captain Jean-Luc Picard in Star Trek: The Next Generation to Professor Charles Xavier in the X-Men films, his extraordinary talent, commanding presence and unmistakable voice made him an icon across generations.
A classically trained Shakespearean actor, Sir Patrick brought intelligence, dignity and humanity to every role he played. His contribution to the performing arts will never be forgotten, and his performances will continue to inspire audiences and actors for generations to come.
And, of course, one line will forever remind us of his place in television history:
“Make it so.”
Three simple words that became legendary, delivered with the authority and quiet confidence that only Patrick Stewart could bring.
There is something particularly poignant about losing an actor so closely associated with Shakespeare, whose words have helped us understand grief for centuries.
“Give sorrow words; the grief that does not speak / Whispers the o’er-fraught heart and bids it break.”
Thank you, Sir Patrick, for the memories, the performances and the legacy you leave behind.
Rest in peace, Sir Patrick Stewart.
1940 – 2026
Your watch may be over, Captain, but your legacy will live long beyond the stars.
Make it so.
I think as you get older, all you really want is someone who genuinely wants you. Someone who chooses you, not because you’re the only person around, but because you’re the person they want to be with.
Someone who makes you feel special just by being themselves. Someone who thinks of you, misses you when you’re not around, and looks forward to seeing you just as much as you look forward to seeing them.
You want that feeling of knowing you’ve found your person. The one you can give your heart and soul to, knowing they’d do exactly the same for you. Someone who looks at you and thinks, “It’s you. It’s always going to be you.”
Life is too short not to have that kind of love. And no matter how old we get, I don’t think we ever stop wanting it.
To be loved, to be wanted, and to be chosen above everyone else. No second thoughts, no looking elsewhere. Just two people who know they’re exactly where they want to be.

From @jayshetty podcast.
I’m sharing these podcasts because I want people to understand the real impact ghosting can have on someone.
I’ve experienced it myself, and I can honestly say it affected me far more deeply than I ever expected.
What made it particularly painful was that this person wanted me back in their life. I had previously reached the point where I said I didn’t want the relationship anymore, but they came back, and because I still had deep feelings for them, I let them back in. I cared about this person, and part of me wanted to believe things would be different.
But then I was ghosted again.
It left me feeling as though my emotions were being played with, almost as if it were a game. I can’t say what their intentions were, but the impact on me was real. The experience sent me spiralling, to the point where I felt mentally and physically sick.
The confusion, the hurt, the uncertainty and the emotional exhaustion took their toll on me in a way that is difficult to explain unless you’ve experienced something similar.
People sometimes treat ghosting as though it’s harmless — as though they can simply disappear, leave someone without answers and carry on with their lives. But the person on the receiving end is left trying to make sense of what happened, questioning things and dealing with feelings they never asked to be left with.
When someone comes back into your life, gives you hope, and then disappears again, it can make the emotional impact even harder to deal with. You’re left trying to process the experience all over again.
But I want people to know something else, too. There is light on the other side of this.
I’m in a much better place now, and I want anyone going through something similar to know that things can get better. Walking away from someone who repeatedly puts you through this can be one of the hardest things you ever do, but sometimes it’s the very thing that allows you to find yourself again, regain your peace and start healing.
Ghosting can sometimes be part of a wider pattern of unhealthy or emotionally abusive behaviour, including manipulation, a lack of empathy or a need for control. Some people may also display narcissistic traits, although ghosting alone doesn’t establish that someone is narcissistic. What matters is recognising the impact of repeated behaviour on your wellbeing and knowing that you don’t have to keep accepting it.
I’m not sharing these podcasts to attack anyone. I’m sharing them because I want to raise awareness.
If you’ve been ghosted, if you’re going through it right now, or if you’ve ever ghosted someone yourself, I hope you’ll take the time to listen.
To anyone who has been through this: you are not weak, you are not stupid for caring, and you are not alone. You don’t have to keep accepting someone back into your life just because they return. You are allowed to choose your own peace.
And to anyone who has ghosted another person: please understand that your decision to disappear may be a moment for you, but the impact on someone else can last much longer.
You don’t have to continue a relationship you no longer want. You have every right to walk away. But where it is safe to do so, honesty and clear communication can spare another person a great deal of unnecessary pain.
So, if you’re struggling right now, hang in there. You might not be able to see it yet, but you can come through the other side. One day, you can look back and realise that the person and the situation that caused you so much pain no longer have the same hold over you.
You will find the light again. You can find peace again. And you can build a life where you no longer have to live with the uncertainty of wondering whether someone will disappear on you again.
I know this because I’ve been there, and I’m in a much better place now.
That’s why I’m sharing these podcasts. If they help even one person feel less alone then that’s one helped

Your dreams don’t become less meaningful just because you’re getting older.
Maybe life didn’t go the way you planned. Maybe you spent years taking care of others, working through responsibilities, or simply trying to find your way. And somewhere along the way, you started believing that the things you once wanted were no longer meant for you.
But who decided that?
You can start a business at 50, learn something new at 60, fall in love at 70, or discover a talent you never knew you had. Your age tells you how long you’ve lived, not how much you’re still capable of becoming.
You don’t need to have everything figured out by a certain age. You don’t need to compare your timeline with someone who started years before you.
What matters is that you’re still here, still able to learn, grow, try again, and create something that makes you proud.
**The life you dreamed of is not automatically out of reach just because more years have passed.**
You still have time to surprise yourself. ❤️

Tonight’s Pride of Britain Awards is a reminder that true heroes aren’t always the people we see on our screens every day. They’re ordinary people who do extraordinary things, often without expecting anything in return.
From incredible acts of bravery and selflessness to people who have overcome unimaginable challenges, every story reminds us of the strength, kindness and courage that still exist in this world.
Behind every award is a real person, a family, a story and often a journey that most of us could never begin to imagine. These are the people who restore our faith in humanity and remind us what really matters in life.
We are truly grateful and thankful for all these incredible heroes and heroines. Their courage, compassion and selflessness give us hope in life and remind us just how precious every single life is. In a world that can sometimes feel difficult and uncertain, their stories remind us of the good that exists in people and the difference one person can make.
A huge congratulations to all the nominees and winners. You are an inspiration, and your stories deserve to be heard.
Sometimes, the biggest heroes are the ones who would never call themselves heroes. ❤️🇬🇧

I was watching Godzilla starring Aaron Taylor-Johnson with a friend when Godzilla got hurt, and I said, “Aww, poor baba!”
My friend looked at me and she asked, “Why do you call animals baba, especially when he’s as big as a dinosaur and isn’t even real?” 😂
I told her, “Because all of God’s creatures are babies!” ❤️
Big or small, real or fictional, if something gets hurt, my heart goes out to it. I suppose that’s just the soft side of me.
All of God’s creatures are babies. Never lose your compassion, no matter how big or small the creature is. ❤️🙏 especially Godzilla …
