Trade Kirk while value is high. Package him with the “Man-Child”.
I say maybe Miami for their catcher/DH Augustine Ramirez, who has a little speed, and 1b Stowers. Eat Jr’s., contract
A bench of:
Smith $3.7M (utility)
Lukes $2.1M (OF)
Vali $ min (C)
Santander (DH/LF/RF)
Clement $7.6M (INF)
Does provide some decent coverage around Seiya and a 2B signing
*except 2026 Jesus Sanchez’s outfield defence*
Anytime your take on a current professional athlete is basically, “they’re just not very good at this,” you should probably question the take.
These are people who are literally better at their sport than almost every human being on Earth.
If your explanation is, “Why don’t they just do this?” there’s a good chance you’re missing something.
Most obvious fit, but the price will be huge
The Blue Jays are expected to pursue Seiya Suzuki this offseason, via @MitchBannon:
“This offseason, said a league source who spoke on condition of anonymity in order to discuss offseason plans, the Jays are expected to pursue Chicago Cubs outfielder Seiya Suzuki.“
I would say there’s about a 2% chance he’s fired
The Blue Jays face a decision.
Should John Schneider remain the manager in Toronto next season, or is it time for a change?

He appears to be a mega pronator, imo leaning into what he is and adding a 2-seam or changeup variation would make sense.
Trey Yesavage says that a big priority for him this offseason will be adding a 4th pitch.
“Dabbling with a curveball and a two-seam, but we’ll see what works best.” #BlueJays
The clout that Jon Berti must have to get a card like this… every time I sift through my cards I take a minute and stare at this one.
We understand the difference between best overall talent and best in comparison to their peers right?
Like for as great as Babe Ruth was he was not *actually* better at the sport of baseball than say present day Ohtani is but next to his peers he was insane.
I was thinking about something today and I wanted to ask the BASEBALL PLAYERS ARE BETTER THAN EVER crowd a question…
How many of today’s @MLB players will considered the BEST to ever play their position?
Are any even up for consideration?
Let me name a few of the guys that I played with and against that I think are in the conversation…
Nolan Ryan
Pudge Rodriguez
Pedro Martinez
Randy Johnson
Cal Ripken Jr.
Roger Clemens
Mariano Rivera
Greg Maddux
Ken Griffey Jr.
Barry Bonds
Jeff Kent
Albert Pujols
Derek Jeter
Chipper Jones
Edgar Martinez
David Ortiz
Mike Piazza
Robin Yount
Should I keep going?
Now I’m not saying that these guys were the best, some were, but they are definitely in the conversation right?
How can anyone claim that the players are better now?

It’s really a shame that George can’t play the field at all. There’s still a little gas in the tank offensively but it’s tough to roster him in ‘27
