1) Machado intentó viajar a Venezuela la semana pasada vía Curazao, pero desistió después de que la administración Trump dejara claro a la isla neerlandesa, a las autoridades venezolanas y al equipo de Machado que Estados Unidos no respaldaba su regreso en este momento.
2) Machado había contratado servicios de seguridad privada para facilitar su entrada en Venezuela y protegerla durante su estancia. Dicho personal ha estado en Curazao preparándose para su llegada y para trasladarla a Venezuela.
3) Machado no cuenta con un pasaporte vigente y requiere permiso para viajar, por lo que su entrada en Venezuela habría sido ilegal sin la autorización del gobierno de Delcy Rodríguez.
4) Estados Unidos temía un conflicto con las fuerzas de seguridad venezolanas en su llegada o una vez dentro del país.
5) Machado sigue queriendo realizar un regreso rápido, pero no está clara la viabilidad de hacerlo tras el viaje frustrado de la semana pasada.
